"I love the idea of the urban meeting the natural; the structural clashing with the organic. For this shoot I wanted to juxtapose a harsh, cool, urban setting with my own soft body and the mess of curly hair I have sprouting. I found the perfect place - it was this bizarre mezzanine roof over a parking lot which seemed to be held up entirely with chains? Having some pole dancing experience gave me even more options. I managed to snap some interesting acrobatics with the chains and they seemed secure, but not gonna lie, I felt like I took my life in to my own hands that day. I was ready with makeup, the mirror, the tripod and the camera. All I need now is to take off my clothes but OH FUCK I HAVE MY PERIOD. I don't have time to choose a different day, or even go home and get tampons. It'll be so messy and I'll get blood everywh- hang on. Actually, that would be kinda cool. Fuck it, I thought, the theme of this shoot will be "Red meets blue - naked lady doing unorthodox things with her own blood in a cool urban setting." The result is this photo set and I am really, really proud of it. If you ever find vampire erotica hanging around online which seems familiar, you know who wrote it. Watch this space."
