The roughness of coarse gravel on bare skin and the powerful sound of high heels on hot asphalt can still be sensed long after the last image of this folio is closed. It’s got a thematic roughness that sticks with you, and you can’t help but wish for that cat ‘o nine tails to be turned on your own tender flesh.
