"I shot these photos in my bedroom over three afternoons in late February. I live on a first floor apartment and wanted to get the best lighting possible. I was reluctant to shoot with my blinds wide open, but by the end of the third afternoon, I didn't feel exposed anymore, I felt liberated. At the beginning of my shoot, I felt vulnerable to be in my own skin as I have always considered myself to be un-photogenic and I have zero experience holding a camera - especially for the angles this shoot requires. I don't know if it's just me, but as you scroll through my shoot, you can see me become more comfortable and confident. All in all, I'm so thankful to be apart of something as special as ishotmyself. A unique project which captures a woman's femininity, self identity and self love. Beautifully iconic."
