"I wanted to take photos of my body like I would document and study another form that was not my own. To grant it that same focus, concentration and energy to explore it like I was seeing it for the first time. To contort, manipulate and abstract my body, to create an experience that simultaneously grounded me to my body and took me outside of it. I thought about the body and its functions and ability through its form, rather than the other way round. The physical strength and ability I have created in my body provides a lot of empowerment to me."
