"This shoot was taken next to an abandoned mine shaft. It intrigued me as something about it seemed hauntingly beautiful. Something about the dark and mysterious tells you to not go there and beware. Yet this quality is something archetypically feminine, the damp darkness of the void. The intrusion into the earth, symbolically similar to the vagina. Coming to this spot to do this shoot kind of made me afraid. I was uncertain if someone would see me, what was hiding in the tunnel, or if there were ghosts or some spirit that would haunt me. But when I got there it felt so natural, I became comfortable with the situation. When I became immersed in the beauty of the lush green leaves, the calling birds, the soft dirt, the moist air, and the serenity of the environment, I found it to become arousing, just being by myself, naked in the forest, feeling the sensations of the cold damp air on my skin and the earth between my toes."
