"I shot my photos in the art studio that I use for painting and projection work because the lighting is bright and clear and I feel very free here. I shot for ISM last year and found it eye opening and sexually revelating with some moments as healing. This year it felt a bit different, I felt more softer and natural and I've been exploring and getting to know my body more and more. My cycle is about to begin so I felt more bloated and tender in these shots. I think there's something beautiful in that; to show up as you are, lean into the emotions and accept just that. This year I felt like I just existed behind the camera and I was just capturing that. I tried to encorporate the colours but found sometimes it can be hard as a bigger girl to get around all these curves with the camera! Haha afterwards I felt more connected with myself and feminine, two things I like to embody and I'm always grateful for the opportunities that allow me to feel that."
