"I wanted this shoot to portray my inner nature and real life turmoils, dark/light, melancholy and playful. I shot myself on a cloudy day in my backyard. The snippets of sunlight that peeked out during the day made me think of the two forces at play. Feeling the sun's warmth on my skin made me attune to the beauty that is within and surrounds me, whether it be light or dark. This was a refreshing experience of self love and care and was a step closer to my budding, loving relationship with myself and my body. I tie myself to remember who has control."
