| ARTISTS STATEMENT |
I have struggled with confidence and body image for a long time. To have asked me one year ago if I was capable of photographing myself naked would have turned me red in embarrassment. My journey to self love has been long, and is nowhere near complete. But I am getting there, and the joy I found in this project was a big step. I am an anthropology student who is fascinated by the way our culture treats the female form, so found this to be an interesting experiment in subverting dominant models of pornography. Sexuality is nothing to hide. As my confidence grows, so does my awareness of my kinks and preferences, and I think it is so important to normalize the conversation around erotica within our world. Power to the peaceful and to the pussy.
