New Releases

Jan 24, 2009 lynsey//"papergirl"
EXTRA! EXTRA! Hot off the presses today is Lynsey, and the ISM Herald is the first to bring you an EXCLUSIVE look at this celeb-in-the-making! Never before has she been so EXPOSED, and we are the ONLY news source given the privilege to print it!
Jan 23, 2009 chica//"whitemagic"
If you have the taste for fine things which might lead you to a place like Chica’s blog, you might have noticed a sneak preview to this set a few months ago. This is a great juxtaposition to the rather summery folios she’s produced thus far. Somehow she maintains that signature warmth even with her arse in a snowdrift.
Jan 23, 2009 flicky//"metamporph"
The transformation in this folio from Flicky’s sweet, neat, ‘daytime’ self to her war-painted and bound persona is quite drastic. Sometimes the camera unleashes the beast in a lady, and far be it for us to put any constraints on that – in fact, we do our best to egg them on.
Nananoosh is molten mercury in the deep blue sea. She has a quality of liquid motion even in still images – you almost expect her turn into a puddle on the sand. I suppose that’s what you’d expect from a water sign. She’s a Pisces through and through.
Ah, the bohemian lifestyle – what better place to explore and indulge in such small worldly delights as worn-out AstroTurf, bubbles, and packet tobacco? Persia is fully immersed in these pleasures in this kitschy set that brings the magical music of charm bracelets to our ears.
What Briannah does is an art, and if it’s not apparent in the chaos of a smoky, crowded club, it will be as she gets on a stage all her own. This is a graphic video in the most literal sense, as it captures the very mechanism of every toned muscle in motion as she contorts her body into the dance.
When you’re a nomad, your concept of home extends beyond your chosen vessel to whatever ground you’re walking on at the time. Claire-Marie is just doing what everyone does at home – walking around naked.
Jan 21, 2009 neve//"vitality"
Neve is all about the freshness and vigor of existence, which is probably what made her head out into the chill of the mountains for this set, where everything is just a little more alive.
Jossie is going to make it even harder to repress those longing daydreams you’ve been having about the granola girl at the health food shop who spoons out your daily dahl onto a biodegradable plate, but maybe that’s a good thing – repression isn’t something we encourage around here anyway.
Larissa’s got a touch of camp in this most colourful of her sets to date. Ok, maybe it’s more than just a touch. But it’s cool to know that she’s done all the artwork herself – taking the photos is one thing, but what she’s done takes the artistic experience to another level.
Jan 19, 2009 Rhiadia//"gypsique"
Rhiadia’s a nomad, a hardened roamer of the land and sea, answering to no man and free of conventional restraints. She discards her clothes wherever she pleases and as far as we know, she still hasn’t put them back on.
Jan 19, 2009 perl//"seamstress"
Perl invites us into the furry taffeta chaos of her workshop, which looks like it houses a whole lot of creative energy. Perfect place to get out the camera and give the loving audience a show. She’s always got a touch of the theatric in her folios, and this is no departure.
‘The camera is just another sex toy, and we find our collection of photos to exist almost exclusively within the bedroom. This is a chronological sampling of the way in which we continue to reach into the rawest moments of our sexual exchanges and turn them inside-out through the still image. We revisit them occasionally, which usually leads to the creation of more.’ – Gala and Jones

Jan 18, 2009 shoezies//"artbox"
Did you have an art box when you were a kid? A whole big stash of crayons and paints and broken toys and things to make stuff with? Shoezies’ life is one big art box, and this set pulls you right inside it and invites you to roll around in glitter and get paint in your hair.
