As I approached this strange appendage, I saw that it was holding out a CD, seemingly offering it to me. I took it home, wiped off the mud, and opened its contents to find this, an offering from the underworld, a strange and sparkly and saturated place where the heat of the earth’s core is palpable – and visible.
