Hyperballad tells us a bedtime story today, and it’s probably one of the best we’ve ever heard. It’s about a girl, and she’s like really awesome and stuff, and then she gets a camera, and she gets to see all of her awesomeness on the interwebs, and the awesomes grow and grow until she’s some sort of superlady. But she still has trouble getting to sleep sometimes.

Jette starts out in her true colours, which generally tend to be bold and bright, but by the end the only thing that she still has on a crisp, white sheet of A4 is that wild orange hair of hers. We like the irony of such square geometries from a lady who has way more than four sides.

Today’s dose of ISM is taken with sugar – lots of it. You won’t shy away from the sweetness once you realise what a treat it can be. Most things Swiss will send your glucose levels through the roof, but if you monitor your intake over time, you’ll be just fine.

Sure, the majority of the ISM generation happens to come from the ‘Y’ generation, but that just makes it all the more special when women like Eloise ignore all of those ‘voices’ she speaks of – those in her head and in the culture at large – and put themselves front and centre on the ISM homepage. Whoda thunk that ISM could connect the mothers of sex-positivity with the daughters who currently reap its benefits? That’s some humble pie, à la mode.

We want Jolena to accompany us on our next trip to the op shop – she’s got quite an eye for spotting kitsch and frills and other ephemera. And, should she be willing, we might be asking her to come along to the sex shop as well, so that she can help us match our skirts to our strap-ons, which is a must for any lady of honour.

The fruits of the earth are there for us to enjoy, however we see fit. And just based on ISM alone, we can probably assume that this is very open to interpretation. Sunita shares hers today, and well, we’re open to suggestion.

Hera’s return to ISM reminds us of the way that time slips away from us when we’ve got it to spare. Hours spent seeing our imaginations projected onto blank walls, our strange self-images reflected in the bathroom mirror, the way the light cradles our bodies when we just lie there and let it.

If this was my inner monologue, I would be a better person. Hyperballad is great at externalising her inner monologue – especially if you’re in the same room with her when she finds something funny on the internet – and it’s a privilege to hang out with her while she beautifies her already beautiful self.

Cho_Cha beat the boys to the skate park and wouldn’t you know, none of them had the guts to come out and carry on with business-as-usual with a scantily-clad lady about. You’d think that for all their wolf-whistling when she walked past their gang the previous day, they’d be jumping at the opportunity to skate with her, but it looks like they’re all talk after all.

Thank goodness for the fence between Lynsey’s house and her neighbours’ – what would the community think about her doing her dishes in such an exhibitionistic style? If only ISM could set the ‘standards of the community’…there would be no need for fences and every reason to keep your curtains open.

Rush is a country girl, so while you city slickers might find this to be the filthiest folio on the site, those of you with a refined appreciation for basic, elemental earthiness will feel right at home in the mud bath. This lady truly knows the meaning of the word ‘explore’, and we admire such a spirited approach.

Jane A uses all of her charms to create the perfect image of ‘temptation’, and we have to say that we really identify with the lizard character in this story. She has run the gamut of self-expression in her folio, and the amount of herself that she has squeezed into the frame is visible.

These two misfits glam it up, trailer-kitsch style – such a bastion of style lost out there in the middle of the tropics! Well, perhaps lost is the wrong word, because this set will certainly put them right on the map. The sort of thing you could only make with your oldest and bestest.
