Sometimes it’s best not to know what goes on in the darker corners of the nightclub, so as to preserve our modesty (and the reputation of the establishment). But with that flashbulb popping, Nixon probably had a pretty hard time keeping it all a secret. She’s not one to shy away from attention, though, so we doubt she would have cared.

Bright sun, luminous colours, and flowers as big as your head make this a very sensory folio, and it’s not much effort to imagine oneself in such a lush environment. This is a beautiful example of the way that an image can transport you away from your own immediate experience.

We have to wonder what was on Shara_C’s playlist on that fateful day when she Shot Herself. Would it have been different with something a little more downtempo? If it had been a bit of glamrock instead, would we have caught her singing enthusiastically into her hairbrush? Maybe, though, she was just on shuffle, enjoying the background noise while she worked on her foreground.

She has lots of hidden jewels on her body, and while she may not get through metal detectors without drawing attention to herself, it seems a sweet act of self-appreciation to accentuate the parts of her body that are seen most often by herself.
