We enter a completely different world in Mamadell’s folios. She certainly knows how to create a visual atmosphere. This one explores the sharper edges of her femininity, and is a perfect follow-up to the golden softness of her debut. Her images give us a sense that we’ve crossed into complex territory, and that thrill is why we do what we do.

Zosha and her tiny totems are a welcome addition to the ISM ladyscape. While we can certainly see some resemblances between her and her spirit guides, we’re not sure what to make of the bear; could Zosha be a little more fierce than she seems on the surface?
