New Releases

Jun 25, 2010 madam//"regalia"
Madam is a dressups queen, and there's no end to her collection of accessories. So of course she'd know how best to dress up without having to wear any clothes.
Honeysuckle's work has developed over the years as quite a canon of creativity, obsessed as she is by costumes and colours, textures and perspectives. Today she shows her more macho side, but we use the term relatively - there's no amount of garb or getup that could obstruct her femininity.
A pretty smashing debut, to say the least - luminous light and lace and getting upsoclose you can almost feel her breath. RoxanneGritt seems all she holds herself up to be so far, but only another folio will tell for sure. So we hope she's getting on top of that.
Jurlique weaves together a beautiful first set, pulling her various textures and shapes into each image to give us a holistically sensual understanding of the layers and curvatures she inhabits. Self-portraiture can often be a matter of pulling things apart and then putting them back together, as she discovered in the challenging process of representing herself.
Jun 23, 2010 volfy//"eccentrix"
Volfy's just a little bit 'out there' - that's one of the things that makes her so interesting. Her first set goes from sultry to silly in the time it takes to, well, apply whiskers. Her ability to transform herself suggests the sort of personal dimension that accompanies an artful life.
Science is fun, and cool! And if you're not really inclined to think so, allow Sophie C to overwhelm you with flashy evidence like the tea bag rocket. We love a bit of shameless cheese, and the occasional lab-coat-with-nothing-underneath is just the right amount.
Jun 22, 2010 flossy//"ragamuffin"
All wispiness and unravelling cotton, Flossy reckons that sexiness is all about comfort. So she tries to stay cruisy. It's a lot easier to get into the rhythm of shooting oneself when all that stuff is already taken care of, which gives this folio a natural, unpostured feel.
Jun 22, 2010 mysteria//"maskedmiss"
Keeping with the theme that is her namesake, Mysteria disguises herself today - perhaps more to stay anonymous should she be caught in this place than to hide anything from us.
Jun 21, 2010 janise//"chocmilk"
If you've ever tasted real, fresh, raw milk, you are probably afraid to drink a Big M (or your local equivalent 'flavoured milk beverage'). Those bizarre liquids are a lot less suited for ingestion than they are for the purposes Janise has suggested here.
Jun 20, 2010 Brae//"braezen"
Simplicity does the trick for Brae, who is sort of her own visual spectacle with that cloud of blonde hair. She seems to be in exactly that spot you're often taken to on guided meditations - 'imagine a clearing amongst the trees, vivid green grass, a cloudless sky overhead...' Time to Zen out.
Jun 20, 2010 Kitkat//"harvest_1"
She's looking just as blushed and healthy as the apples she's picking, and it's probably safe to say that Kitkat was the best-looking specimen in the orchard that day. This is perhaps her most perfect set yet, idyllically integrating light, location, action, and expression.
Arabella Z's 'Reading is Sexy' campaign takes it Federal today. There are few places as sexually repressed as that silent reading room at the State Library, so it's understandable to see why she'd want to shake things up a bit. She may just make a campaign appearance in your local library, so do patronise often.
Jun 19, 2010 khina choo//"rawhide"
Khina Choo is channelling the most primal aspects of her sexuality today, all furs and leather. Sometimes it's nice to de-construct sex as the thing it truly is once all of the pressures of our schizophrenic culture are stripped away: a part of our animal existence.
Candy hearts, liminal an expression of love as they can be, never fail to bring back memories of grade-school Valentines and a chalky sweetness on the tongue. Though we did notice that the printing quality isn't what it used to be. Don't worry, Federica: we still get your drift.
When it's this hot in Melbourne, there are few unacceptable modes of cooling off, including flagrant disregard for water restrictions. You're only supposed to 'water your garden' between 6 and 8 AM, but Elliot Blue's fence is high enough that the tattle-tale neighbours won't be able to blow her cover.
