New Releases

Urtica sees things a little differently than you may be accustomed to. She is particularly in touch with the animalism of human-ness, and conceives of herself in carnal terms. It may be the power of her suggestion or a simple matter of her image, but her first set makes us feel like we're peering quietly through the brush at a creature of great intrigue.
Alexia Laro camps up her usual beauty / grooming routine in today's vid, one that has obviously taken considerable time to orchestrate. The shots she's taken give us an appreciation of the tactile appeal of thick paint lathered onto freshly-smoothed skin.
Nov 24, 2010 rigby//"muddypaws"
Rigby engages in some absolutely filthy behaviour here. What is it with ladies who love to smear themselves with earth? Is there some sort of amazing feminine ritual that we here at HQ are missing out on in our sterilized urban ways? Perhaps a staff day trip to some muddy riverbank is in order.
Nov 24, 2010 creole//"antiqued"
A sepia daytrip to the beach stirs up all kinds of nostalgia for us, though our memories aren't quite as adult-rated as Creole's sandy little jaunt. That just means it's time to make new, updated beach memories, so we'll be following Creole's example - just as soon as we're finished looking at these photos...
Nov 23, 2010 liss//"in_motion"
Our good friend Chica pulled Liss by her wiry curls into the world of spontaneous nudity and constant documentation, and we're glad she did, because we want to watch. Liss's first set reflects the freedom that her inquisitive nature provides for her, and we look forward to seeing more of her attempts to find out 'just what this camera can do'.
Nov 23, 2010 ladylou//"in_jest"
When given the space and time and an endless supply of makeup to play with, Ladylou can come out with some pretty impressive stuff, as evidenced in the video companion to this set, 'dollhouse'. Fortunately, her camera-dropping incident in said video did not result in any loss of data.
Nov 22, 2010 eren//"provocation"
The black-and-red colour combination never fails to provoke. Both colours trigger such deep emotion and create unbreakable moods. Eren's debut puts us in a dark-and-sultry headspace that makes us want to put on 'Boys for Pele' and blow cigarette smoke into dusky air.
AnnabelleLee wakes up next to her camera (we'd love to know what they did the night before, but she didn't send us those photos) and decides to have another romp for good measure. What better way to start the day, right?
Nov 21, 2010 char-lie//"enveloped"
Char-lie ups her game in her second set, one which breaks down every possible degree of the angle between her and the sun as she wraps herself in its light. Exquisite textures and shades of skin show an evolution in self-representation that we think she should be proud of.
Michaelah is one of those gypsy queen goddesses who will take any opportunity to engage her body in an artistic endeavour. Her spirited debut finds her inked and adorned, exploring both domestic and natural themes to suggest that, for her, they are one and the same.
Paleblueeyes is a lover of fine things. A luxurious habitat and a decent glass of wine are all she asks of the world, a world which tends to respond with eager willingness.
Nov 20, 2010 nancy//"tawny"
The temperature of Nancy's images is absolutely perfect. Just the right amount of warmth to get your blood moving. We are struck with some combination of empathy and envy at the sight of her curled up in these puddles of sunlight.
Nov 19, 2010 zebra_zee//"menagerie"
After seeing the glorious mess in which she lives, we wonder whether Zebra Zee's creative mind is laid out in quite the same way - this menagerie of trashes and treasures, colours and patterns and animal prints. Raw materials everywhere for constant inspiration.
Nov 19, 2010 robyn//"scorched"
Robyn seems to have this problem repeatedly - she goes out without sunscreen because 'it's just a quick dip', and ends up spending the entire day in the UVs. The cooling waters will keep her from being too uncomfortable until sundown, but then someone needs to get this girl some aloe. I'm sure there will be no dearth of volunteers.
High above pedestrian life, Libelula is untouchable. Viewable, maybe, from that one high-rise in the distance, but definitely untouchable. And in that distance from daily life, she finds a freedom that allows her to open to her own lens, and thereby to us.
