It looks like Hellfire shares, in part, our obsession with various states of undress. A single article of clothing paused somewhere between being taken off or pulled on, is so suggestive of motion that our imaginations tend to take still images like these and animate them. Who needs video?

Her smile promises permanence, so that even when she's being a bit serious it is somehow present in her image. Red and black, those endlessly stimulating colors we associate with such passionate things as gothic intimate apparel, baroque candlelit dinners and luxurious midnight encounters, seem to be suited perfectly to Vivianne. Being allowed to watch Roe and Frei intertwine and connect with each other is a privilege, and as I flip through their photos I feel grateful for it. The depth of their affection for each other comes through so clearly that by the end of the set, I feel as if my own concept of friendship has been altered.
