Feather's love of softness has us swooning, reaching out to these photos as if we could brush against them with our fingertips and feel all the feathery and ethereal textures exhibited. Feather chose a perfect moniker and metaphor for herself - she seems so light and downy, as if she might unfold wings any moment.

The de- and re- saturation effect Gabriela has invoked here has the effect of animating her, as if she were breathing colour instead of air. As she inhales she fills with warmth until we can almost see her blood pulsing through her body, and exhaling, returns to a dormant black and white, a representation of a representation of beauty.

After realising that a slightly ridiculous amount of time had gone by and we were still looking at the first picture of this folio, we figured out that Susie-Q has powers. Able to hypnotise without trying, she's got the kind of eyes that stop us dead in our tracks - which is a shame because we would like to linger a little on everything else she's got going on.
