Man, don't you just love the ISM Video editors sometimes? If there's one thing better than Liivi in a thin slip, turning back handsprings, it's 3 Liivis, all in stages of undress, cartwheeling and somersalting to their heart's content. The office is full of wistful sighs today, making our computer screens too foggy to do anything but watch Liivi, again and again.

"It was freezing cold and I was stabbed by prickles. It was incredibly beautiful, nice light and little flowers everywhere. The forest has grown back so, so much after the fires it's just amazing! I was so nervous to hand in my shoot... it's difficult to see your own work objectively."

Everyone's got different priorities when it comes to going on a hike. For example, we like to make sure there's a fail-proof way to keep the beer cold. For Thalie, grooming is of the utmost importance, which may seem strange - until you see what she's got planned for activities up at the peak.

"I was kind of surprised, I didn't know what to expect. I was surprised in a good way. Sometimes when I was taking the pictures I thought I was taking them of something and it turned out to be of something else. I'm kind of a perfectionist so if they didn't work out it was annoying, but it was still fun."

Liivi was never the kind of kid to stick around and wait to be told how to have fun. The lengthening of golden light on the ground means the end of the day, and the end of responsibility, so Liivi's off to explore the bush - just a girl and her camera, and a wide world of possibilities.

"I grew the chilies in my garden last year and there were more than I could eat, so I froze them. When I got them out for my shoot they defrosted pretty quickly so they ended up kind of smushing and burning my skin."

Alexis V is just really good at this whole art thing, transporting us into the mood of her choosing whenever she wishes. So now we're amongst all her loosely held dandelion fluff, on a day when the golden hour seems to go on forever. It's no surprise that the sun wants to linger, when it's got Alexis V to shine on.

"I shot 3 times, always in the middle of crazy busy weeks. Full sunlight was tricky to shoot in; I got sunburnt on my butt. My housemate came home when I was shooting and she laughed at me, then went and made us cups of tea. There were a few pervy cats hanging about while I was shooting."

Once in awhile, while looking through these pictures, it occurs to us how gorgeous the environment is around Saoirse, and how very picturesque that shoreline looks behind Thor - but to be honest, it's really hard to pay attention to the scenery with these two anywhere near it. I mean - damn.
