‘Twas the night before Christmas, at I Shot Myself, and Raven and Dominick are our kinda elves. The bedding's been laid out nice under the tree, and candy canes are tonight's delicacy. Raven Decay, and Dominick too - the best Christmas presents are totally nude.

Is it just us, or is Zenon exactly the way you imagined her from her stills? Totally uninhibited, sparkling and sweet, Zenon conveys a sense of wonder with every word and gesture, without sacrificing an ounce of intelligence - a perfect female role-model as we usher in an age of play, and say goodbye to tired ol' puritanism.

"I thought I would struggle but in the end I found it pretty straight forward. The harder I tried to set them up, or the contrived/posey shots, just didn’t work out. When I relaxed and went for it, it worked great. I imagined the camera as a voyeur, this shoot is my own little peep show."

You can tell a lot about a lady by the size of her... book collection. What, what did you think we were gonna say? But anyway, we don't even need to look at Dorothy's stacks to tell she's a good egg - it's written right there in her face, in her intelligent eyes and in the intriguing composition of her photography.

"I found it really hard to find time alone to shoot, life is so crazy at the moment. Lighting was a bit tricky, but I got there in the end. I've never taken a shoot of myself before, so it was a challenge, a really enjoyable one! It's so different to looking in the mirror, such a brand new perspective."

Every time Kitkat takes us underwater, we find ourselves taking a deep breath as if we're being submerged too, and holding it as we watch her float. It's that vicarious quality that makes us glad to experience her excellent work, but it's the strong, sweet force of Kitkat's personality that makes us miss her when it's over.

"I shot in my courtyard and it was such a nice day, warm and sunny. I had complete privacy to shoot, it was the perfect place and I felt really safe and comfortable. Half the shoot was really me sunning myself... Thankfully I didn't get sunburnt anywhere! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face all day, everyone I spoke to I thought to myself 'You have no idea what I've just done!'

"I’m not really into Christmas but this was different! In Germany, Christmas means bad weather and people freaking out. There are heaps of decorations in the houses – we go OVERBOARD. It was fun to be a bit cheeky with the baubles. I have 3 male housemates and I showed them a few photos and they asked to watch but I said they were not allowed to watch!"

She moves us... they move us... but as the pillow talk goes deeper, certain themes begin to set a dark tone for the development of this romance, and sweet nothings begin to curdle into paranoia...

Kohen's putting a whole new spin on the tree-trimming thing. It's going to be a long time before we can look at one of those ornaments without wistfully imagining Kohen's reflection in it, which is going to make the family holiday even more awkward than usual. Anyway, we'd rather dream of Kohen than old-fashioned Santas any day.

"I sing and play guitar, and I won a very special faux Oscar which caught the corner of my eye while shooting and I HAD to involve it in the shoot. The caterpillar couldn't help but get involved - there was no way out! I was super turned on by getting naked behind, and in front of the camera."

It's a sign of folks who grew up in the 80's that the sight of a puppet like Evie D's got has us wondering, where's the MenaMena guy? However, kids who grew up in the 80's are full-grown adults in 2011, so it's not long before we forget completely about the puppet and focus on Evie D instead.

"It was a beautiful sunny day and I got in amongst the grass in my backyard. At one point my housemate came out and had a coffee with me, she watched me shoot for a bit, then gave some feedback on poses to try. I live in this crazy house with 5 other girls, we're all super close like sisters."
