Maybe Urtica and Noa were germinated, rather than born, raised from tiny green seeds. I imagine them swaddled in moss and fed on sunlight until they grew strong and beautiful. The unreserved joy they take in each other is a rare thing, making Urtica and Noa exotic plants in their own right.

"The look of this shoot reminds me of the photo booth style pictures. It felt like a photo booth too, because I had the blinds right up and my neighbors walking past - I had to flatten myself against the wall a few times so they couldn't see me, so it felt really cheeky and daring. It really felt like I was out in public."

"I have never done anything like this before, ever. Like never shot myself naked and sent it to someone! I really wanted to get more comfy with myself and feel good about being in my skin. The first few shots felt pretty strange, but the more I photographed, the better it got. Perfect!"

"This shoot felt quite different to the others ones I shot. Sometimes my housemates nearly busted me shooting; I had to wait 'til they went to work. So I would wait patiently! I liked shooting outdoors in nature, in the warm sunshine. It would be waaay too cold in winter though!"

The exploratory shots we are accustomed to are present, but there is a sort of emotional movement as well - a feeling that some of these shots are just glimpses of a fully realized project, like stills from a movie.
