It was cold, so I felt really focused, and alert, and inspired. Once I started all my ideas changed, I found this opening of creativity and got into my groove. It was super important to shoot in a green lush place, it felt right. The dirt and the bricks and the green. It was great.

"I shot my folio over 4 different sessions. When the sun came out and flooded into my room I had to take even more! Privacy was a bit of an issue, there was construction happening next to my window. I kicked my boy out to do the shopping, the construction workers went on lunch and away I went."

"I was totally at the whim of Mother Nature. The minute the sun came out, I would whip my clothes off and start snapping away. It hailed all day when I was trying to shoot. I shot myself in total comfort, my housemates are really relaxed people, so nudity isn't an issue."

Dwam is running the gamut on all the coolest themes, but it's her cyberpunk incarnation that seems to suit her best so far. High-tech and tough as nails, Dwam seems like the kind of person who could swim as easily through stored data caches as she would through a river, coming out as sleek and perfect as she looks in each one of these photos.

"It was a bit tricky to shoot, sneaking around housemates, dark rooms, tricky weather. I loved being naked and shooting outside, but inside was harder. I didn't like the light and I felt constricted. Somehow I could stretch out better and photograph myself with a lot more ease when I was outdoors."

Solo dance parties aren't exactly a strange activity - most of the folks over here at HQ admit to a having a romp about their bedrooms fairly frequently. That said, our dances aren't generally of the slow, sensual quality Ida indulges in here - tantalizing and intimate, the best kind of slowdance.

This is something different from Cobain - we usually see her in dappled sunlight, her smile illuminating her whole face, joyful and cute. With a few flowers, dark shadows and bits of lace, she allows us a deeper look at her - subtly telling us that getting to know Cobain is going to take a lot more than just a few photos.

"I was really nervous to begin with, and we have a lot of people in our house so it was hard to find a time to be naked. I was really preoccupied by what I was going to wear. After a while I realised it didn't matter. My favorite part was gaining more confidence. I hope people see that I'm enjoying it when they see my folio."

"Sometimes I take some pictures but not like these ones. These ones were way more intimate - up close. A few times - when I watched myself in the mirror, I was like ‘oh, not that bad!’ I hope the people who see this like my pictures. I hope they like my eyes - they are so blue in the pictures!"
