"I was at the beach just posing and shooting myself. This guy came and just stood there - He suddenly took out a camera and asked if I minded him taking a picture of me. I said, 'You shouldn't take a picture.' - I wasn't comfortable with anyone but me taking the pictures. He took one anyway and walked off. Ich war am Strand posieren und machte Fotos von mir. Ein Typ kam ploetzlich seine Kamera aus seiner Tasche und fragte mich, ob es ok waere, wenn er von mir ein Foto macht. Damit war ich zwar nicht einverstanden, aber er machte trotzdem eins und ging davon...”

"For me, I'm very comfortable being nude and free, so I wanted to show the difference in my photos. I used the handcuffs and veil because marriage is not really like being free, like I felt in my pictures. I found an old prison to do the pictures in, which went really well with my idea. I really enjoyed myself and hope to be back to feel free again!"

“I wanted to do a really nerdy shoot and my boyfriend has heaps of superhero toys. The concept was ‘Who will win - Superman vs. Dinosaur?!’ Superman was my favorite – such a good size to work with. At one stage ALL of my housemates were home and I was just in this little corner of the garden playing with toys.”

I love that pirates can be whoever they want to be, and that the tough "Argh, I want to kill things," is in stark contrast with the lace and women's jewelry that they usually don. I dressed as a pirate for six months for my year 12 studio, during which time I wore my first tailored jacket, made entirely by me, from a mountain of fabrics that I pillaged and plundered!"
