“I did the photos in the morning; it was cold and I was shivering but at the same time I was excited to be naked outside, so the chilliness wasn't off-putting. I love winter fashion - so I was happy to have my little hat and coat on. Some people say 'winter-blues' but I say 'summer-blues' - I love to rug up.”

"I just wanted it to be as natural as possible, in my natural habitat. It was a cloudy day but it was warm in my room so that's where I stayed. It was fun getting into it - I haven't done anything like this before [but] it was exciting to do something different. I think it was a turn-on just being able to do it on my own terms and doing it for myself, by myself."

You're on a tour boat in the middle of the ocean. You pull out your binoculars to scan the approaching shoreline, when you spot Janne on the rocks above. Committing the spot to memory, you rush to find it as soon as your feet hit the sand, but when you get there, she's gone. Unless you're a member of ISM, she'll exist always and only in your memory.

“I just tried to be as simple as possible, using natural light, waiting for some sunny day, light was coming through my window. I added a fetish accessory - some retro stockings I have just bought. I really love garter belt and stockings. It's something you don't really find on modern girls.”

"Alas, the life of a homeless nomad is not particularly conducive to such a project as this. I've been thwarted by leeches, myriad beasties and a selection of homeowners who have been springing up out of nowhere like creatures in a pop-up book. Anything, however, that makes my life that bit more surreal makes me very happy and this certainly did that!"

"I just wanted this shoot to be really casual. I didn't want it to be too poser-ish… just spontaneous and fun. The confidence I got out of it was the best part of the project. I'd never done anything like this before and I feel better about my body through accentuating aspects of it and having fun in this way. A couple of times I had to ask my housemate just to 'pop out' for a few hours so that I could have the space to myself. He knew what I was doing, so that made it a little bit strange."

“From the beginning of this folio I started to shoot inside using a mirror and focusing on some body parts. But I noticed soon that I wanted to do it outside in the nature. Flowers became an important theme. Mosquitoes made shooting hard sometimes...”

"Me and my keys, we know each other intimately. When Wurli is turned on he hums like an old fella ready for a jam. We like to play the blues. Sometimes I smash the keys in a frenzy of rage, sometimes I play softly till he is silenced with aged exhaustion. When I write songs on him I am compelled to find a connection with the 70's, an old soul."
