Sep 16, 2013 cece//"dirty_girl"
Chains and grease and dirt and woodchips - that's what this girl is made of, the rustier the better. Or at least, that's what she's made of now. Before she got into the workshop, she was as clean and pristine as any other pretty lady walking down the street. As the photos get dirter, Cece's grin gets wider - and so does ours.
"I grew up in the mossy wetlands of New Zealand, and have since grown only more fond of nature. So, of course I picked the outdoors for my shoot.. I felt comfortable and at ease in the long grass on a river bank, completely exposed for the musings of the bypassers, rid of authoritive clothing and loving every minute of it. It is nearing the middle of winter here, so I definitely felt I was winning in 17 degrees with the sun shinning brightly. My smile came naturally as I sunk into the moisture of the river bank, immersed in the smell of damp grass. In nature I am greeted with the spirit of the Wild Woman, my inner Creatura, once more."
"We did a little urban exploration near where I live. It was mainly shot in an alleyway near my house and we had a lot of great times climbing fences and trees near a manufacturing plant. I think that's what they were anyway, because there were constant clacking noises coming from it which sounded exactly like someone walking. As you can guess, I had to keep checking to make sure there was no one there. I loved spending time with my partner and sharing our creative thoughts." - Laurelle

"At 22 weeks I am feeling really disconnected from my body, everything has changed so much over the past few months. My breasts are heavy and really sensitive and my nipples have changed colors. My belly is getting really big and even my walk is different. I'm kind of emotionally all over the place but doing this shoot was grounding, I wanted to have memories of this time in my life. Seeing the photos helped me find my own place in my body again, as it is today at least. Tomorrow will be different."

"I basically took the camera with me wherever I went just in case an awesome opportunity arose. Being winter, the sun would disappear and reappear on and off daily so it was great to spontaneously get naked when it was shining and be in the moment. The afternoon sunshine’s right through my massive window. The lighting in my room was fantastic to play around with, creating stripes across my body where the blind kind of filtered out creating shade and light."
"Keiner meiner Shoots war geplant. Wann immer sich der perfecte Moment, ein interessanter Lichteinfall ergab und ich ausserdem meine Kamera dabei hatte, fing ich an mit den Posen und vor allem mit Licht und Schatten zu experimentieren, ein Aspekt der es mir besonders angetan hat. Obwohl alles spontan war scheinen auch Vorhaenge es mir angetan zu haben, die sich durch mein gesamtes Portfolio ziehen."

"I started hula-hooping when I was a little girl. I used to stand in the yard for hours, hula-hooping while I read books. I think I read the entire works of Stephen King with a hula hoop going around my waist, a jar of lemonade sitting on the picnic table. I liked the way my body and mind were both totally engrossed in these seperate experiences."

"After racking my brains for over a week for location possibilies, I found the perfect place. The balcony just outside my window. It was a rare sunny day and as the sun went down, the metal work of the balcony created a pretty pattern. I quickly jumped at the opportunity, not only was it a perfect setting, but I actually had some privacy too! Despite a few beeps from the passing cars below, it went well and was extremely fun."

"I had originally hoped to shoot outside, however on the day I went outside in my stockings and jacket ready to 'nude up' as they say but my neighbour was out in her yard. So I ran inside to shoot in my messy room. I decided to make the most of positioning my body, and props for an interesting shoot. My blue tongue lizard Anura had a cameo appearance as he was awake for the day, and lazing about on my gas duct heating vent."
Education, education, education, says Bonnie T, and with that accent of hers, and that no-nonsense demeanor, we find it incredibly easy to sit back and listen to her speak. This is so our kind of sexy - super intelligent, super confident, Bonnie T takes us step by step into the workings of her sexuality, without a scrap of embarassment. Listen, and learn.

"I stopped dancing because my body wasn't "right" for it. (or thats some people thought anyway). Then I decided to stop worrying about it because there's bigger issues in life. Then Feck came along and I thought "this is what I need to do to put everything behind me." I shot myself at home. Never thought I would have so much fun shooting myself. Also didnt think it would be that hard to press buttons with my toes!"

"My bird freaked out. She was so scared. But it was hilarious. She kept flying around the room bumping into things. she flew into the mirror, she broke the blinds. She'd never seen me without clothes on before, so she had her crest up for about 10mins. At one point my phone was on the bed, she decided she was going to leave, so she grabbed the phone and ran out of the room."
"My first shoot for I Shot Myself was lots of fun, though due to the miserable and cold weather, I was slightly stifled in terms of creativity and resources. I had to retreat into my house so I tried to capture every inch of sunlight that would pass through my windows, revealing more light on my body as the day wore on. My confidence grew the more pictures I took, I really enjoyed it!"
"It was very fun to shot a duet. We hadn't planned anything, everything came in the amazing abandoned house we found. We had never kissed before or touched each other our bodies before, so it turned out to be a pleasant experience plus fun for both of us. We both loved the result of that day."
