"I thoroughly enjoyed seeing myself from a different perspective and it has brought me a deepened sense of self acceptance in relation to body image. I was feeling my oats shooting around the house, with candles, incense and music for the mood; it turned out to be a form of self-care in itself. I didn't even mind that the neighbours could see through the front window. And if anyone did see...you're welcome."

"When I was thinking about what I wanted to do for this shoot, a lot of things came to my mind. I wanted to use a lot of personal objects and play with them. I shot it at home and at first, I was struggling with my "angles", what is best, what is the cutest position etc. And then I said to myself - "What are you doing? Just relax!" And that's what I did! I focused more on my body. Just my body (ergo, not a lot of props). There's a bruise, so what? That irritation on my arm, who cares? Some unshaved hair, oh please! Time flew by and by the last photo I really felt good about myself."

"My coziness was quite familiar to me, so all I felt was that I was comfortable and I like what I do. This is the moment when you can enjoy your body as much as possible, especially in nature, in the process of photographing. You even forget that someone can possibly see you when you are alone with yourself because everything seems much easier. This is not the type of shoot where you take a few photos and that's enough, you really enjoy it and don't want it to stop. At home, I felt that I was doing another routine household activity, only without clothes."

"This shoot was an honouring of my new home, running around my new apartment with freedom. Saying hi to all my plants and slipping around in my socks. I love every corner of this space and it was great to photograph myself in it. With the beginning of the cooler months, cranking up the heater and loosening my body into twists and bends. I enjoyed viewing my body in different angles, leaning into what I saw and loving her. Especially the curves and bumps you don't get to see on the day to day and watching without judgement. Leaving me feeling ready for the day ahead."

"In the afternoon I went out onto the terrace to do my shoot because there's a really beautiful view and gorgeous lighting for photos. Whilst shooting my folio I took time to also just sit and enjoy it. I also got a bit hot because it was an intensely warm and sunny day. I had never undressed on the terrace before, because I was very aware of the neighbors in close proximity. But I was in a very particular mood this day so I decided to take a chance. I was a little worried, but I found that it also turned me on. One neighbor almost saw me, but I managed to hide just in time, haha."

"My apartment backs onto 6 other apartments, so I did not have privacy when shooting these pictures. I didn't feel like I needed it though. I had fun and felt liberated. My pets joined me because they like to do everything with me. Although they have no concept of nudity (maybe the cat does) they had fun with me. My apartment was disorderly and messy, how it always is. I'm in the process of moving so I'm lacking furniture in my place. I shot in my bedroom and in the living room which is now my bedroom. At my desk there was a zoom meeting on in the background. It was exhilarating."

"I live on a farm away from downtown and it's a beautiful morning today. I looked out the window and thought that it would be nice to sunbathe for a bit. I decided to use a mirror in my living room area because the lighting was nice in there, and also I can be naked without being scared of being seen. So once I got comfortable I began to shoot, it felt so nice to just begin stretching and have fun with the selfies and the light! I forgot time was passing, just letting my body get some sunlight. It keeps me warm in cool mornings like today."

"I woke up that morning and got my period, which was not ideal. When I get my period is when I feel the least myself, the least beautiful, empowered. But, I thought it was important to go ahead and take shots of myself in this state. At first, I was a bit awkward, only my partner has ever seen me naked. As I got more comfortable, I started to notice things about my body I had never even taken the time to look at before! It sounds weird, but I even said to my partner afterwards, "lol I have a pretty nice vagina!". I went from feeling bloated and awkward, to feeling beautiful and cosy in my own skin, which is how I've always wanted to feel."

"I took a camera with me for the weekend as I went away on a farm-stay amongst the forest. Despite the wintry bite, I was tempted to shoot freely outdoors, however I didn't want to give the old farmer an unexpected surprise. A couple of new sex toys also accompanied me along this trip, so I was feeling quite sexually curious this weekend. I also took the camera with me in the bathroom, but think I should upgrade to a waterproof camera if I'm to play with water again. I had a lot of fun shooting in the water."

"I love having a very hot shower in the morning and walk outside nude to get the fresh air and let the adrenaline running through my body and get goosebumps! When the sun is out I love laying in the backyard and take a few photos cause' I feel fresh and beautiful! I sat in the backyard and had my coffee, I loved to smell the coffee and feel the warmth going into my body! Walking around nude in front of the plants and under the sun is the best feeling, getting the feeling of having the neighbours peeking in the backyard was also fun."

"It is a beautiful sunny afternoon, the sky is blue and everyone is outside in the sun. Except myself, I just woke up from the loud music from my housemates, after my night shift. I am in my room, these pictures are literally taken right after waking up. I want you to see the real me, with all my flaws and unfiltered perfection. You can find my plants and flower patterns all over the pictures, because I love to be in nature. I am feeling a bit tired but also inspired and obviously hungry - because I am always hungry."

"I really wanted to capture angles of my body I have usually avoided to appreciate my body and all its flaws. I felt confident while shooting because I knew the aim was to be in my natural state therefore I embraced my true form. I also liked challenging my creativity and how many different moods and poses I could capture with limited angles. Doing this shoot was a really positive experience and I loved getting creative with how many different images I could capture of just myself in my natural habitat."

"Debo decir que es la primera vez que hago este tipo de portafolios, es singularmente agradable en varios aspectos, a pesar de varios complejos que tengo de mi mismo, estoy satisfecho con el trabajo terminado. Era una mañana agradable, la luz era perfecta y las caras que hice fue lo que más se destacó. It was a pleasant morning, the light was perfect and the faces that I made was what stood out the most. In my opinion, natural photos are the best without seeking to exaggerate the details that the body already has, they will highlight the most perfect details in the light of day."

"I had such a fun experience the first time I participated in I Shot Myself that I was eager to do it again! Because I was shooting at home I had to be extra careful that no one would walk in while I was shooting. When I would hear footsteps coming up the stairs I would quickly put on my dressing gown to avoid potential embarrassment! Once again I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I feel empowered every time I do a shoot. I could do it a million times, because I know for sure that I would love every experience and trying out different positions and props."
