"I shot this folio in the recent winter sunshine of my backyard in the countryside of Oregon, following the light from the meadow to the barn to the creek. I was thinking about the ways in which my sense of eroticism is deeply intertwined with my passion for land, queering gender, and working with a set of magical tools (homemade rope, junk jewelry, lace, a hatchet, dirty books, fur, knife, heels) that are I find inspiring for playing with power. I felt really excited about the process of making these images! It was fun to find ways to depict my body's desire as it exists within this context of genderqueer femme adornment."

"Us Brits are usually considered quite prim and proper, but today I decided to break the rules, and get a little messy. It was the perfect day! The sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I pulled out a blanket and all the fruit from the kitchen, with the intention to spend the day sunbathing in my back garden! Who knew you could have so much fun with a bunch of grapes and some cherries?"

"All the palm trees surrounding me, along with the bright blue sky just itching to come out on this beautiful Spring day, were a huge inspiration for me. It was a great feeling getting outside in the nude on a such a warm day... what could be better! The next day it absolutely poured down with rain so I'm lucky I got to make the most of it when I did!"

"I always found the beach comforting. I wanted this shoot to reflect the evolution in my attitudes towards my body, from Catholic conservatism right through to stripper exhibitionism! I brought along my cross earrings, and attempted to subvert their traditional connotations. I wanted to turn away from the exotic dancer-style poses, which strip women of their autonomy by placing them into patriarchal ideals. In the end, I just had fun with it, tried to portray an image of me as I see myself. Thats about as naked and vulnerable as you can get, and yet I only feel empowered by the experience."

"I practice yoga daily. It has opened me up, both physically and mentally. I am amazed by the body, what it can do, how it can feel and how we can communicate and understand ourselves so much more intensely when we connect with this physical, transient entity. I tried to include some of this in my shoot because it is so important for me and how I understand my body."

Maria_W works hard - we can't help but be impressed at the gung-ho attitude with which she tackles her friend's garage. Lucky for us, her very talented camera-person is just as gung-ho - a little too much so, in fact. Sometimes in life, a girl just wants to clean a garage naked for a few minutes without any kind of audio-visual equipment following her around. We understand.

"I went to a park to do this photoshoot, there's someone walking there, but I take the pic quickly! Under a slide, at swing.. Near there be a group of guys skating but I think don't saw me doing the pics. I played with different perspectives and shadows... it be really funny doing something like that and risky, someone could catch me in a moment!!"

In Japan, I'm learning to belly dance. This is American tribal style makeup and costume. The accessory is Afghan antique. I'm not good at sports but I see belly dance and is amazing so I want to try. I learn belly dance for two years and I sometime dance in restaurant and club in Japan."

"Fuimos a un dia de pesca en un hermoso lago. Eramos 2 parejas. En un momento decidi alejarme del grupo y detras de unas rocas comenze a quitarme la ropa para hacer las fotos. Mezcla de emocion, locura y adrenalina, miedo a ser descubierta por los demas, pero con mucha excitacion por lo que estaba haciendo."

"This was in a little forest at the bottom of the garden, where I grew up in Ireland. I used to run around naked as a little nipper in this forest, so I thought it would be fun to relive it in a different way as an adult. I used to chase fairies down here as a child but I didnt see any today. I did get tangled up in some magical spider webs though."

"I found a secluded little beach called Point Impossible. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to but it was super windy, so my beautiful mirror was pushed over and smashed all over the place. I then retreated to a spot in the forest which I was introduced to earlier this year at a bush doof. At the time, it was great fun to let loose and party to the psy trance music. However, I had forgotten that during this time of the year, the march flies are insane, so I spent a lot of the time swatting them away and trying not to be bitten!"

"Here's the story: I went in the forest again with a friend. Who knew the forest is the kingdoom of mosquitoes?! They were everywhere in the air, on my legs, on my pussy, on my ass, everywhere! But I really wanted to do the shot and made it till the end! If you a photo blurred, that means a mosquitoe was on my hand and I was trying to get away from him."

"Somehow I felt more comfortable once the last pieces of clothing were flung onto the sand. It seemed perfectly natural to be naked in the mellow warmth of the afternoon sun, dipping and drenching myself in cool water, the scratch of coarse sand against skin, breezes, ripples, rain. Revelling in the senses normally dulled by the interference of clothing. It was such a playful, sensory experience. As I splashed around in the shallow waters of the river, warm rain fell on my face and a rainbow shimmered on the stormy horizon, I managed to snap it in one picture before it faded. A beautiful experience captured."

"As I was revising the history of dance in my bedroom on a Sunday afternoon, I got overcome by utter boredom and decided I needed some fun so I put some Beyonce on and found myself dancing and having fun. I didn't want to limit my limbs so I thought it was only fair that I should take my clothes off and before I knew it I was bare naked and my books were somewhere in the corner. After my spontaneous afternoon I stayed naked and grabbed some raspberries and cream from my fridge and took pleasure in eating them all!"

"J'ai sentie la sensation de l'eau sur mon corps qui etait a la fois froid et doux qui me fit frisonner. puis j'ai voulu ecrire avec mon rouge a levre, "Love Is In the Air". Cette sensation d'ecriture fut douce sur ma peau. Je me suis rapproche plus de la nature et des fleurs pour sentir tous ces elements autour de moi. Je me suis roulee dans les feuilles pour etre encore plus pres de la nature, sentir son odeur sur moi, et par la suite la pluie fut sur moi, froid et extraordinaire, car le monde est juste magique !"
