"I live behind a shop with some very grumpy shop owners and finding the time and space and correct lighting to shoot myself was a difficult task. I decided to do the shoot in my cutesy little courtyard/'cubby house' because it has a great space full of colour, art, rustic imagery and greenery. I love my little hidey hole and found it a great opportunity to actually become more comfortable in the space I created for myself."
"My first shoot for ISM was shot in my own personal space, exhibiting the rawness of the things I love and enjoy; the earth. I then got to venture outside by the creek and embrace the winter sun. This shoot shows my joy on a sunny winter's day and I hope it passes on to you too."
"I trekked an hour out of town to a friend's place. After arriving I searched the ranch for lots of different pieces I could use in my shoot. I sat in a wheel barrel which got my bum all dirty. And that wasn't the only thing that got dirty. My feet were black, my knees scuffed up, my hands were dirty. The sun was super bright so I found it hard at times to keep my eyes open without making them water. The next morning I found myself slightly sunburned with splinters in my knees and dirt still caked on my feet. It was all so very worth it."
"This shoot was probably the one I've enjoyed the most. Being in my pj's with a cup of tea is one of my favourite things to do (stereotypical English I'm afraid!). Taking the pictures within my own house allowed me to relax more, although my flat mates were in their room at the time! I think it sums me up as a person very well; quirky, fun & easy going. I hadn't worked with a 'prop' before and that turned out being really inspiring, you come up with so many more things you can do with your body when you add something else to the mix."
"I played around with a few locations around my home it was really nice to be outside as I love nature, but funnily enough I found myself feeling most comfortable in my kitchen! I do love cooking and I spend a lot of time in there. It has lots of natural light as well, although my dog wanted to be part of the shoot!"
"I am a total gypsy kid at heart and always loved this style. I wanna live in a bus one day with my dog Ziggy and drive around the country chasing the sun. I love my Doc's, I'm either in them or in bare-foot, there's no in between. I love hats because I don't have to do my hair. My little kelpie puppy came out at the end and wanted to be part of it which was cool until he latched onto my nipple thinking he was the cat with the cream!"
Salty, cool, sea, waterfall. Mist, breeze, wood, wet. Mangrove, railroad. Amarnamiller lights up every location with her exuberance and contagious smile, and her discovery of new places, sensations, sights and smells. She takes pleasure; so do we.
"It's a daunting idea when suddenly the camera is in your hand, your house mates are out, and you're standing naked in your backyard trying to figure out the best way to pose with a lemon. Learning to take the pictures with my feet was a really funny experience, especially when I had the camera up on the barbecue. Safe to say I fell over more than once! There was something much more liberating and less porn-like, photographing myself outside. Taking naked photos in my bedroom reminded me of when I was 17 taking 'sexy' photos for my boyfriend, but experiencing the outdoor nudity was a really great feeling."
"A few hours before, I feel like more naked than during my shooting, but anyway, it's done, and I'm proud of me. I'm excited, scared, happy, and impatient to see the result. I hope that my photos are good, and I hope that my nudity is beautiful."
"I fell into a floristry job when I first moved to Melbourne, thinking it was just a cute little job I would replace with a better one. When I pursued other interests I found I missed playing around with flowers and using my hands productively, so this year I'm getting back into it! I'm excited. In my friend's home I felt comfortable in my nudity."

"I chose to shoot myself in my humble backyard, as for the past few months it has been my little oasis. In its tiny square walls, there has been comfort, disarray, company, isolation, and a lot of insects. Funnily enough, whilst shooting, said insects were persistent on getting involved! As I explored my body, so did a tiny army of tiny ants. It made for some very amusing moments as I swiped them off and tried to ignore them tickling my thigh as I pressed the shutter."
"This folio was originally supposed to be a romantic one, with the sun setting in the background as I laid in the warm grass. But a man and his dog stumbled across my location and refused to stop staring, then I lost the beautiful light. The next day I took a trip to the coast and within minutes I lost my clothes and found myself in the sea, having the time of my life. The seaside is one of my favourite places; the smell of sunscreen reminds me of being young and the sand seems to stay with you forever!"

"Although I loved the act of participating in the shoot, I resisted the way some of the photos turned out at first. Amateur, I thought. I found myself worrying that it wasn't arty enough, that I should try to make it look less like selfies I would send to my partner. Then I realized that I am an amateur, and if the shoot reflects that quality, then it's just honest. Then I realized, too, that there is some evolution in the shoot. Towards the beginning I was striking poses that we've all seen before in nudie photos, I was using pornographic archetypes. When I became more comfortable, the photos began to take on a more organic quality, I love the photos when I'm just sort of rolling around in the kiddie pool."
"Upon returning from four months of travel abroad I decided to celebrate with a picnic in the mountains with my partner. Wine, beef jerky, my favorite forest travel-ly fantasy book "Wizards First Rule" and an alpaca blanket we obtained on our travels made the sunny afternoon perfect. There's nothing like flitting between trees and logs naked with mozzies attacking and birds cackling to make one feel like a true wood nymph."
"Era una bella giornata cosi ho deciso di fare una camminata :) In mezzo alla natura ho cominciato a scattare alcune foto! La cosa bella e'stata che faceva caldo con il sole estivo, si sentivano gli uccellini cinguettare e qualche piccolo ragno scendeva dai rami quasi volesse salutarmi. / It was a really nice day so I decided to go for a walk! In the middle of the nature I start to make some shot! It was nice because was so hot thanks to that summer sun, I could hear the sound of the birds and there were some spiders came down from the tree as they wanted say hello!"
