"I was a little nervous when I first started the shoot as I have never really done anything like this before. I've taken nude selfies for my past partners, but never from so many different angles! I captured the parts of my body that I don't normally like, but after taking more photos I began to embrace myself a little more and found I took some really beautiful photos. I felt proud of myself for having the confidence to do the shoot and embrace every part of my body. All in all it was a really positive experience and I ended up enjoying it way more than I ever had before. I'm going to keep the photos to remind myself how beautiful I am despite my imperfections!"

"My shoot is about being a bit of a brat but having fun with it. I don't get to play my guitars as much as I want so I thought I'd play WITH them. Then when my dog came home from her walk I couldn't resist getting her to join in (and she couldn't resist either, because... treats!)."

"I'm particularly interested in dance as a form of sexual expression, and I'm going to Thailand for a month-long training course in sacred sexuality for women. One of the key things we do is sexual movement practise which focuses on using dance to express ourselves sexually. Lots of people think that when you're naked in a performance, that you're making a statement about being naked. But it's not like that - it's just me in my truest form. I want to portray something or give meaning to something, and to find a costume or outfit to represent that sometimes doesn't make sense. Sometimes the thing that makes the most sense is to just be in your human skin. I love dancing naked, I love the way it feels. I do feel more vulnerable - because I am so exposed - but it's quite a beautiful thing."

"This was so fun! My pictures are an expression of nature at its finest. At first it felt secretive but after my first few pictures I really eased into it, and once my knickers were off there was no stopping me! My favorite pictures are the ones rolling around in the dirt because I think it shows my playful side and the ones with the flowers on my body, I felt so peaceful and happy and the colour contrast looked so cool."

"I found my way down to a quiet beach, just a train ride away from the city. As I walked along its coast searching for the ideal place I felt nervous, wondering how I could find somewhere hidden in the bright midday heat. Looking up at the shrubbery that separated the rocky shore from the road I jumped a fence and found myself immersed salt-marshes, now in hiding. I wanted my first shoot to reflect as much as I could about myself. I am a pianist of 13 years and have recently been gifted a flute to extend my musical ability. I shot myself with the flute as I am embarking on a new direction within my musical passion and this married nicely with the first steps I'm taking with Feck, embarking on a new and exciting direction within my work as an artist."

"Lazy Sunday afternoons in the middle of miserable winters are my favourite. There's nothing I love more than sleeping late and waking up with sunshine streaming in. This instantly put me in a great mood so I took my time getting up, playing under my soft and toasty sheets, then meandering around the house in next to nothing with the heating on high. Apart from my relaxed yet cheeky pictures, not a lot else happened that day... just many cups of tea, home made vegetable soup with crispy bread and snuggles on the couch."

"J'ai aimer le fait de me prendre nu en photo, c'est vraiment marrant, tres bonne experience, jai pu voir mon corp de plus angles. J'ai vraiment passer un bon moment, c'etait tres interessant. J'aimerai le refaire./ I loved shoot my self naked, it was really funny to do it. It was a really good experience to see my body from different angles. I spend a really nice time, really interesting. I would like to do it again. Now I feel really good in my body. That's learnt me a lot... And it's really excited."

"I felt much more comfortable in front of the camera than I thought I would. Once I shooting myself I just opened up completely. Occasionally I would start laughing because it felt really surreal. I was shooting myself in the garden and the neighbor walked past. That was pretty awkward but I just laughed it off."

"I wish I had a funny story to tell, like having my roomate walk in on me mid "below waist" shot, but in shooting this series of photos I experienced nothing but comfort! I played my favourite deep house playlist as loud as I possibly could, danced around my room like an absolue imbicile for four or five minutes, then let my creative mind take on whatever it wanted to do. I saw a tube of black acrylic paint sitting right beside my bed and instantly knew by the end of the shoot I'd be covered head to toe in it. Little by little - starting with my hands, my stomach, and breasts - I covered my body in black. Soon enough I was practically immersed in the black. Once I'd comepleted the shoot, all I felt was pure creativity and positive energy flowing through my body, making me want to shoot more and more!"

"This shoot was even more fun than my first shoot. I don't have privacy at my house, so I went exploring through my city in search of an interesting location where I could photograph myself alone. I found the perfect abandoned building, so the next day I returned with two mirrors and my favourite underwear, full of anticipation and excitement. Such a great experience!/Das Shooting war sogar mehr Spaß als mein erstes Shooting. Ich habe keine Privatsphäre in meinem Haus, also ging ich auf der Suche nach einer interessanten Lage durch meine Stadt zu erkunden, wo ich mich allein fotografieren konnte. Ich fand die perfekte verlassenen Gebäude, so dass ich am nächsten Tag wieder mit zwei Spiegeln und meine Lieblings-Unterwäsche, voller Vorfreude und Aufregung. Solch ein tolles Erlebnis!"

"At first I didn't really want to tell anyone that I am participating in this project. One morning when I was alone at home I took all the pictures and had a lot of fun. Later that day my housemate asked me how I had spent my day, so I told her all about it. She liked it and thought it was great that I want to contribute to ISM. Not only did taking the pictures make me feel more confident, but so did my understanding and supporting friend!"

"This shoot was taken in my house, an old hotel from the 1800's converted into a mansion, full of old furniture and antiques. The lighting in one room in particular is beautiful. But it does have a spooky vibe to it, maybe because no one ever really goes in there. People say our house is haunted. So I felt a bit funny getting naked and taking photos in there, and I was hoping my housemates wern't going to barge in! It took me 2 afternoons to take all the photos and I got carpet burn on my butt from the old couch! It was a challenge to make each photo unique and different from the last, but I'm happy with the end result."

"I'm trained as a dancer but I've moved much more into performance art. It's a form of healing, it's a form of therapy and it's a great way to deeply connect to myself and life. It's a great way to get emotions shifting through your body and to not allow them to be stagnant, allow them to move through you. It's also a beautiful way to meditate, really let your mind go and just be here, be in your body. The best dance class I've ever done was a contact improvisation class. For the whole hour and a half I was blindfolded and I didn't know who I was dancing with. At first it was quite scary but by the end of it I had completely surrendered. It was one of the most blissful, ecstatic experiences of my life."

"I must admit that I felt pretty awkward at first. I hadn't photographed myself before, so I wasn't sure how to feel attractive in that situation. After 20 unsuccessful shots, I started to relax, enjoy the shoot, feel sexy and play with my body. I ended up laughing so much, and enjoying every picture! I loved it!"

"There are some days when the light is right and you know that you it's time to take a few shots. This was definitely one of those days at home when it's not warm outside, but the sunshine streaming in makes you feel so yummy that you have to share it with the world."
