"I started with some shots and after seeing some of my pictures, I felt more confident and excited to keep shooting. I was enjoying it and I didn't expect to feel like that, so overwhelmed. I was using my partner's room to take the pictures and he was giving me advice. My aim was to be able to look at myself and be happy with my body. I'm not one hundred percent happy with my body yet, but now I can look at myself with a different perspective."

"One of my favorite things about Anna_Belle is that when we snuggle up in bed together, she insists on being the big spoon, despite the fact she is really quite tiny. It's so comforting to feel the warmth of her body as she curls against my back, wrapping her arms around my waist until they come to rest in their place between my breasts. Our legs twisting together, hidden from view as the sheets fall over us. The delicate softness of her skin and the feeling of her lips as they meet my face and neck, sending the familiar feeling of goose-bumps cascading over me. Because of this it seemed fitting to shoot our duet in bed - an intimate space where we candidly co-exist with each other when we want to shelter from the world." - Elsa_H

"This is my first ever shoot, so I had a lot of fun exploring myself in a familiar context: my home. It's so important to feel comfortable with yourself and your body, so I picked the place where I'm most comfortable. I had so much fun experimenting with angles, with how my body moved and looked, with different mirror placements and poses. At one point my housemate came into the backyard where I was shooting to hang out the washing and got a huge shock! He soon realised why I was frolicking about in the nude though and calmed down (thankfully!). He was even worried that he might get in the way of the shoot, but I told him not to worry. Overall this was a super fun shoot and I can't wait to do another."

"Well here's a little taste of what my adventure travels in Australia look like! Hitchhiking will always be my preferred method of exploration. Every ride is a new surprise! During this shoot I hitched to Warracknabeal (the hometown of Nick Cave!), borrowed a mirror from my couchsurfing host and set off to explore the natural wonders of this small wheat belt town of 2000 people. I had such a blast."

"Now, time for a nice, relaxing cup of tea. The funny thing is, about this video: it was intended to be a behind the scenes documentation of my preparation for an IShotMyself shoot for stills. But the sun's gone down now so I'm not going to be getting around to doing that. It kind of reminds me of a film that I really enjoyed: it's called the greatest movie never made. The director - I think his name is Jodorowsky - wanted to make a movie of the sci fi book series Dune. He got all the crew together, all the actors, and they almost did it but they didn't quite, and they still have all of the storyboards and all of these brilliant ideas all compiled together. They eventually made a graphic novel about it, which I'd love to get my hands on. I don't think this is the greatest ishotmyself folio never made but the filming process has been fun. "Melbourne has some amazing street art, and I wanted to incorporate that into my photoshoot. I shot at an iconic spot for local artists that is set to be demolished soon. It was quite a public space which made it quite difficult to shoot in without attracting an audience. I'm sure a few people could see me! I started to get paranoid that someone would call the police. I like the idea of shooting in public spaces because I am quite shy but wanted to do somethimg a bit different."

"I love everything to do with music. Music is great for the soul! Thankfully I have lots of music equipment lying around everywhere, so when I was searching for an idea, a 'prop' or theme, it just felt so right! I did try and be real with the guitars, but once you're holding a camera, and an electric guitar you kind of have to think about your prioites and maybe make sure you don't drop all the expensive equipment. (Honestly did drop the black guitar, but it's all good!)"

"From start to end, my shoot was like a comedy. I was chased by snakes, startled by those passing by, bitten by sand crabs and sun burnt as I lay in waiting on the beach for the moments when the joggers passed. The experience has renewed my appreciation, love and approval for myself and my beauty, just as it is. I am now looking for opportunities to be nude as often as I can, especially outdoors in nature."

"When I was 12 I moved from Madagascar to one of the largest cities in Italy. It was there that I found antique shops for the first time, and discovered my fascination with antique dolls. Their youthful faces, sculpted to the aesthetic of their time, aged with the wear and tear of decades - baby eyes which have seen the world. I guess I capture my youth the same way in this photoset. Enjoy."

"So, while doing this shoot, I was a bit awkward at first. Especially thinking the neighbors would see over the low fence and see me posing naked everywhere in the backyard. I did consider wearing makeup for the shoot, but then decided I should take a more natural approach to this. Trying to get the right angles proved to be a bit tricky, especially while aiming to be unique and creative at the same time. As a world traveler I thought it would be interesting to show a few different currencies I've collected along the way. The shots done with my menstrual cup may be a bit beyond the pale, but I am not ashamed of my flow. I am a woman, and I menstruate. I just don't feel I should be ashamed of natural bodily functions. Traveling can be a bit tricky for us women. The menstrual cup has been a godsend while traveling, especially in 3rd world countries. I really like the photos with flowers. Women and their privates have a tendency to be compared to flowers. I have always liked this comparison, and enjoyed trying to incorporate that idea into my shots."

"One sunny summer afternoon I was hot and bored so I took my camera down to the grasslands at the bottom of my street, stripped off, and frolicked through the tall grass. I got a rash on my ass but feeling the cool breeze while being exposed to the elements made it all worthwhile. I feel most comfortable and beautiful amongst an ecosystem. This is me in my natural habitat."

"I shot with two new, wonderful friends in our college music room. It was SUPER hot and gross and I had bought this super sweet slip that day so debuted it in some undressing shots featuring the piano. My new tattoo lady friend on my tummy got her first proper viewing as did my surgery scar on upper thigh. I should not have had such a massive mexican lunch though, rolling around on the ground caused serious tummy swirls to be ignored in favour of getting good camera angles."

"In my folio, I tried to create the contrast between nature and beauty and some rough, dirty, kinky shit to effect harmony. Most of the ideas were planned, as I am used to having a concept before I start creative work, but for example the gloves were a spontaneous idea when I came into the hardware shop for the barbed wire. I was very happy about the possibility to get creative on the project, as I alternated them because they were way too large, and also made the headband by myself. When I was at the lake it was hard to take the photos because there were so many people there. That's why it took me very long. But that's how I had some really interesting conversations about art that day and got some help with the barbed wire being wrapped around my body, which is the most uncomfortable thing I could remember of, but in a way I enjoyed it as I am fascinated of this idea since I first saw the cover of Rihanna's album "rated r". So all in all I had lots of scratches all over my skin and needed a really long, hot shower to get the dirt off afterwards, but it was absolutely worth it."

I've just gotten back from collecting firewood from down by my local train station. So, step 1 is to combine two of my favourite activities: breaking up wood and taking off my clothes..."

"My girlfriend and I took my dog for a walk as an excuse for me to get naked on a Macadamia farm. While shooting myself, I got out of my dogs line of sight (which he was not happy about) He literally dragged my girlfriend down a slippery and muddy hill until he could see me again. Then he sat patiently and waited until I was done taking pictures."
