"When taking the pictures in my home, I wanted to ensure that the lighting was perfect, to capture not only every single element of my body in the right way - but also enhance my favourite feature of myself (which are my eyes). I feel like when the lighting is perfect, it really brings out the colour within my pupils and that ultimately will reflect an awesome shot. I also wanted the lighting to be quite bright, so by using the lightest room within my house, I was able to completely enhance the body paint and glitter which I used for the shoot. I personally feel that my shots reflected the glitter perfectly and lit every part of my body in a way which I was completely happy with."

"Although I have always been comfortable with nudity and being naked, the experience of doing this project allowed me to see my body in ways I never had before. I got to know myself from a different perspective which is the core element for growth. I think everyone should give this a go! :)"

"I really enjoyed this experience, it was very fun to try and get nude photos of myself without any one in public seeing me! Unfortunately as I was taking pictures in the pool some poor old man walked in to use the sauna, I'm still not too sure if he realised I was completely naked in that pool and obviously I couldn't get out until he was gone! Poor soul :)"

"Finally a warm day here so I decided to have a picnic out in the open air. It was so relaxing and peaceful being away from the city with all of its buildings and people and noise. All I could hear were the trees as the wind blew and the water running down the creek nearby. I felt so carefree as I undressed; unclipping my bra and sliding off my panties. There are so many restrictions on what we can wear/say/do placed on us by society that we feel pressure to conform to, so it felt so satisfying to be able to lay there completely naked in the sun and let everything else melt away."

"I fell into I Shot Myself completely by accident. After learning more about the project I thought that it could actually be loads of fun and boy oh boy it sure was. I wanted to have a theme close to my heart and I adore growing things. My veggie garden is one of my pride and joys (as is being outside) and I really enjoyed incorporating it into my shoot. Another love in my life is my dear mutt, and I couldn't resist taking a few snaps with him. I've already recommended it to all of my friends because I found it to be a really positive and liberating experience."

"Being out in the open air whilst my friend did shibari on me was hilarious, we felt a bit naughty and were constantly keeping an eye out for passers by. We couldn"t stop laughing as a few older men tried to hover and peek over at us. We even spotted someone watching us on the top of the hill across from us as I was tied to the tree and had a couple start a full on picnic next to us by the river! The experience of being tied up outside fulfilled some part of a fantasy that I had and was really quite arousing."

"This series of pictures are actually coming out of a rush. I was busy with my school and moving into a new apartment this week, all the stuff is taking over all my time and gave me a lot of pressure. I was really worried that I can't enjoy my photo shooting for ISM, but once I started to do it everything goes smoothly and even gets me out of my mood. I lived in my friend's apartment when I took these pictures, so I can't really do anything for the background and environment setting ups that makes me worry the pictures are not good enough. Meanwhile it pushed me to focus on the space and shapes between my body parts, so I think some of the pictures actually came out very well."

"My second I Shot Myself shoot was at the beautiful beach along Port Philip Bay. It was the middle of winter but probably the only nice winter day Melbourne had this year. It was a little slice of heaven taking my clothes off on a cliff face, the water behind me, watching for dogs and people constantly. The chance of getting caught just made it even better! I think I took better photos knowing I was naked in such a beautiful natural environment, I felt so at home. I did get a few twig scratches and a fair bit of sand in my bum but that was so worth it for the most beautiful morning and a reminder of how natural nudity is and should be."

"I got up early one morning just after sunrise to take some photos in my backyard, before the neighbours got up. I think it's the first time since I was a young child that I've ever been butt-naked outside. It was a bit cold but almost exciting in a way as I was posing naked when anyone could be looking out their windows at me. Someone next door definitely did as they let their cat out and it jumped the fence and got in a few photos."

"I was nervous to begin with and became more self-conscious about parts of my body, but after a while I found myself having fun with the ways I could capture my body at different angles and be playful with the images. I love food and taking photos of food so I thought I'd have fun with ice-cream and eggs. The ice-cream pics didn't turn out how I thought they would but the egg shots seemed quite erotic. I also found that certain angles of my body are pretty funny!"

"Taking part in the 'I shot myself' project was a fun and exciting experience. At first I found it difficult in removing my clothes and photographing different angles of my body. Towards the end of my shoot I was surprised to find I had no problem being naked. I had this child-like feeling of being free in the nuddy. I was trying all new angles and areas in my back yard and noticing parts of my body I wouldn't normally notice. I loved it! I would recommend this to anyone lacking confidence in their body or for those free spirits who want to try something new and artistic."

"After a break we set up some more mirrors in the corner. I'm just playing with angles. There are so many mirrors, it's awesome. I also grabbed Jordan's hugipede that he made. It's literally a human centipede made with teddy bears."

"I really enjoyed shooting for ISM. I'm naked a lot at home anyway, and, because I was moving out, I had the perfect studio to take some cool pictures in. I figured I'd include lunch in the shoot (pizza has to be the same shape as a vagina for a reason, right?!), and later in the afternoon when it was hot and I needed to cool down, I was inspired and reached for the ice. There were certainly some challenges I hadn't expected - anyone who's ever tried to balance a melting ice cube on their breasts will understand - but I love a challenge!"

"This has been an awesome experience and I'm so pleased to be a part of it. I came knowing I wanted to do it after hearing about it from a friend. I ended up doing it in 3 different sessions. I took the photos as soon as I got home. The next day at work all I could think of was getting back and doing more! It almost felt like a drug. I felt such a rush when I was taking the photos and would snap away and then sit down with a beer to look over them. The only down side was the outcome of my outdoor shoot. It seems my skin was irresistible to the mosquitoes. I didn't realise until I had come back into the house and started to itch. I counted and had 10 super bad ones - I got bitten in a place no girl should get bitten."

"What's there left to hide? I'm a woman, I'm happy and I'm proud of what I've got. I wanted to focus closer up on myself, personally and physically. I sometimes don't pay attention to the little parts of my body, the ins and outs, and so in this shoot I wanted to bring your attention to them. And also my cat... he's the best! Watch out for his debut!"
