"It was a gorgeous sunny day for this shoot, so I thought it would be so fun to get started in the garden. I loved the patchy sunlight on my skin and the feeling of the cold brick I was sitting on. Just as I was starting to get into the shoot, there was a knock on the door! It was the gardener! So I had to make a swift exit and finish off inside the house. I really enjoyed shooting in the bright light of the bathroom and the angles I could get with the help of the big bathroom mirror."

"In the process of doing this photo shoot I had to see a lot of old views about my body re-surface. I had to watch my insecurities rise and I had to let them go. In the end I was having so much fun and embracing my body. I ended up using paint to cover my body to help me embrace my lines and curves (and lack of curves, haha). This is going to sound super corny but I think this was a really good opportunity for me to see my body as art for myself rather than a sexual object for others."

"I found myself only really stuck at the beginning, and then once I had the space and time from my roommates, I flew through the photos almost entirely naturally, and was really pleased with some of the angles and images I ended up producing. Then I was able to get excited about going for a nature-walk the next morning to finish them off, although it was the photo taking process that made me realize toilet paper gets stuck on larger vagina lips far too easily, as discovered by my all too courteous partner while my foot was in his hand, bent against a bridge with only minor coverage from the most immediate passers-by."

"The (few) photos that I took on the roof were in complete public. I thought it would look cool to have the roof tops in the background, and as soon as I took off my towel and stood up I realised I was overlooking a carpark and heaps of people could see me. I ducked, and tried to hide but then thought fuck it, and quickly took some snaps. Three times I went back up there and chickened out after a bit - but posing up there was cool because a) I couldn't see anything so I wasn't able to pose like I could inside, which forced me to just be as I was and b) I was totally in public!!! I originally tried doing a shoot in my own bedroom, but I felt totally uninspired. I needed a weirder location, and I ended up shooting in my friends weird share house which is basically all these small rooms at the back of a shop. Being in a dirtier and more grungy room than my own made me feel sort of cool and really helped me get out of my shell."

"Jeeesus was this shoot difficult!! I had to be awake during the DAY?? (whut) I had to clean my room! (Which involved pushing all the debris to a corner away from the camera). I cut my arse on a stray piece of wine glass on the floor... (so much blood). But despite that, here I am, resplendent, like a naked DaVincian Madonna, but more spread eagle."

"I wanted to make the most of the beautiful purple flowers in my garden before they get ripped up and turned into a little herb garden. I had fun, it was a beautiful day."

"This video puts the 'myself' into 'ishotmyself', on a very 'myself' day. I had the house to myself. No work, no engagements, the day to myself. So I danced ,with myself, played with myself, and by shooting in my bedroom, my personal space, shared myself, pieces of myself arranged around the room, for myself. I hope you love me as much as I love myself ... "

"Before the shoot, I had some ideas to cover myself with glitter and lather up with my favourite soap. During the process, my favourite gold eyeshadow smashed, and I didn't want to waste it, so I used the spillage on myself and from there it escalated to drawing hearts on my legs with my lipsticks, and soon everywhere else! I had a lot of fun playing around with my makeup in different ways, and taking the nude photos was an exciting experience. I love that the movement empowers women and celebrates body diversity/positive self image."

"I was so enthusiastic about this project because finally for once in my life I could play my fave game - being the photographer of myself has never been so easy, I felt SO comfortable knowing that I could completely trust the creative and meticulous part of me. I've been lying on (dirty) floors, sitting on office chairs, walking on desks, standing near windows facing the streets, locking myself in the spare bathroom for hours with my roommates queuing outside to have a shower. / Una delle cose che amo della mia casa e' che in ogni momento della giornata e' invasa da una luce meravigliosa e ho cercato di sfruttare questo aspetto fantastico facendo della luce la mia co-protagonista del progetto. Se devo essere sincera e' stata una sfida: farsi delle foto nuda in una casa dove vivono 12 persone non e' certo facile, non sono mancati momenti di panico nel momento in cui sentivo qualcuno avvicinarsi alla porta, ne di risate o facce da WTF quando I miei coinquilini mi vedevano uscire dalla stanza coperta di tempere o in accappatoio. Da parte loro ho trovato molto supporto con idee e consigli sulle prossime foto da scattare,cosa che ho apprezzato. Ho notato che I mesi spesi in palestra e a correre per rassodare il mio sedere hanno dato i loro risultati e sicuramente avro' futuro da contorsionista, ho provato ogni tipo di posa per fotograre ciascun cm q del mio corpo!"

"I had heaps of trouble starting off with my second ISM because it was a really dark and rainy day. I decided I'd try and go outside in the rain with my umberella and give it a go. It didn't work out very well and I think I was close to breaking the camera from water damage! I went back inside and the light was actually really nice by this time and I was able to complete my photos and I was really happy with them."

Everyone's favourite flower-loving Canadian is back with another exceptional folio; this time proving that even if one were stuck in an unfamiliar wilderness the situation isn't necessarily dire, especially when you have such appealing company as Rose_W. Blessed with eyes that sparkle and skin like butter, Rose_W exudes casual sexiness and the brown and green hues of this shoot illustrate those qualities wonderfully.

"Rolling around on the floor naked is always fun, but producing photos I'm comfortable sharing with others was challenging. I put some of my favourite records on to help me get in the mood and ended up featuring vinyl covers I was listening to at the time in my photos. Once I got into the shoot I was nervous about distractions such as my housemate coming home to find me nude in the living room. I'd just started fostering a rabbit named Dolly, she was hopping around during my shoot but I couldn't manage to get a very good photo with her, I tried my best though."

"I never knew how hard it is to take a photo with your toe, but it's possible mate! While I did the shoot I became an acrobat and if people would've watched me they'd be very amused. I tried to deal with my less good looking parts of the body to feel more confident. I tried to release my creativity and be happy just the way I am."

"I had a lot of fun doing my second shoot for ISM. My idea for my second shoot had always been nature, and I really enjoyed experimenting with flowers and grass. Probably my favourite bit was cuddling the family dog, Trixie, who I feel like I know a lot better now (she isn't my dog perse, but she is now haha). I also loved working with a red floral scarf I have and getting it a bit wet on the damp grass. The sun was really lovely, and different levels of light creating contrast throughout the shoot."

"I was shooting myself in a Public space, and had just managed to get dressed again when a longtime friend appeared out of nowhere just missing the Full Monty show of myself which was quite hilarious and I managed to rekindle an old friendship which was great! I felt being a part of this project was empowering to myself, it was a creative side of myself I was able to play with and be happy with my submissions. I would happily take part in another similar project and have been advocating the ISHOTMYSELF project in Australia and New Zealand. Thank you for letting me participate in a great project. I've had a lot of fun shooting myself!"
