"All my flatmates were gone for the winter holidays, so I shot myself at home, alone. Something unexpected happened while I was shooting: I learned to love my body even more, with all its flaws and things I didn't used to appreciate. I felt free and in peace. I felt happy."

"In this photo shoot I wanted to show a bit more of my interests so decided to play with a few props. I got out my violin and attempted to play while taking photos with my feet. I realised it is very hard to do such multitasking. I also did some crocheting and played with my burlesque fan because these are all things I really enjoy doing. My gorgeous cat, Possum, made quite the appearance in the photo shoot as she is the most photogenic beauty ever. I had a bit of a red theme going on because I find red such a seductive colour and even picked some red flowers from my garden and threw the petals over myself, American Beauty style. I really enjoyed shooting in this room because it has a stunning bay window (which caused me a few honks from cars on the street) and has some lovely plants around. I would have loved to be in my front garden for the shoot because of some of the incredible plants there, but I definitely would have been charged for public indecency."

"When I decided to do Ishotmyself, it wasn't so much a question of "can I do this" as "what am I going to do?" After thinking for a few days on it, I decided to do what I love - pole dancing. This created a much tougher shoot than I had imagined, I knew it would be hard, but it was harder than I'd expected. The combination of working out tricks I could do, despite the fact I've been doing pole for a few years, was a challenge! Getting into moves and then realising I couldn't reach the camera anymore was a major one! But even though there were many struggles, it was fun! Taking the camera into my hands, and having to step back and look at my body, I think helped me be less judgy over my flaws, which is actually the opposite of what I'd expected!"

"Coming... going... coming, why don't you come in here? Here to there, from East back to West she roams and now finds a quiet night alone in her friend's magical abode. With the lights around her she lets her hands dance around her body, letting loose fingers roam free, exploring herself with the camera, making a map of her body like the ones she had used in travels across seas. Riding out her own waves and settling in to sleep, a one night stand with herself. The next morning she awakes with the morning sun and so with a smile in her eye she sets off for her new adventure and bids you a fond yet cheeky goodbye."

"I did my shoot in my bedroom, which is actually a loft in my friend's garage! It's an old art studio space, very dreamy and comfortable. I started with just waking up and playing around with the camera and I felt myself getting more and more ideas as I went along. I had a shower, took more photos, got ready for my day, took more and it just unfolded as a creative cool nudie part of my routine. It felt so natural. So rewarding to see myself in different lighting and angles that I found flattering and even sometimes unflattering. Instead of a blog or a diary or yoga I might start just doing this every month or week as a time to unfold and be creative! I love love love it."

"I shot myself in the stairwell of my apartment block, and it was all at once really funny and really scary - getting naked in public is one thing, getting naked so close to home is quite another! There were a few close calls (hello residents of apartment 8!) but all in all I managed. A couple of carpet burns later, and here's my shoot! It really was great fun, and I made more creative use of those stairs than I ever have before."

"I am really expressive in the face but not at all a model for a photo shoot, I prefer to take them instead, but in saying that, I found that I could do nice pics and it was great fun! Great for the confidence for suuuuure!! I had also some extra visitors to the photo shoot (the cats) who also had their time of fun during the shoot! Thank you cats for inspiring me!"

"In the past 3-6 months I've gained a lot more weight, it's something I'm still learning to accept, this body is my own, active, working and raw and in these photos I wanted to show the times I love it with the times I loathe it. The flattering angles are all you want anyone to see when you photograph it but then what do we do with the unflattering ones? The angles of cellulite, or when you clench your butt into a blob. There's a lot our bodies can do that we hide because it's not considered beautiful. I wanted to get the horrible cellulite, the terrible angles, the eyes of judgement, but the flower of beauty and the vagina as nature's beauty too. We are women whose bodies and minds are things of incredible beauty and we should show all of that, the good, the bad and the ugly."

"I'll admit that filming myself took a little warming into. Though by the end I kept finding excuses to keep filming myself and talking to you. Part of what I enjoyed about this experience was having to let go of any self consciousness. I'm quite comfortable in my body, and letting others see it. What took a little more relaxing into was being comfortable talking and sharing details about myself. I took this film at home, in my dining room and back courtyard."

"I started off by getting in my element, smoking a little weed, painting and dancing to good tunes. As I got more comfortable (and high) I began to paint my body and have fun with the camera. I started dancing around the house, and later moved into the bathtub to wash the paint off. It ended up being a beautiful day so I kept shooting as I meditated in the garden, hula hooped and danced amongst the flowers and trees!"

"One thing I learned from the shoot is that feathers are like glitter. They get everywhere. Stuck in my hair, my butt-crack, my mouth, armpits, everywhere... I couldn't move without them getting all over the floor. I had so much fun messing around with them and pulling silly faces, and I think the photos turned out great! I already want to do it all again."

Philo_M has been so kind as to take a quick break from her travels to bring us another sublime folio where she displays her talent for capturing some gorgeous images of herself in the most simple of settings. When you're as exquisite and captivating as Philo_M, an almost completely unadorned area can become a palace by association when brightened by this magnificent creature's presence.

"I was hesitant with my body a lot in former times, always judged myself and never had the feeling of being attractive to anybody. I did a Beautiful Agony also and along with this it was literally the first time I felt a 100% confident and satisfied with myself. First I was worried about not being creative enough, not getting along with it, even though I was so excited about doing the shoot. But after I had taken the first photos, you kind of get into it and I just shot and shot one picture after another. Ideas just pop up on your mind and you do whatever you think fits at that moment. I used fruits and cream and it was sooo much fun squeezing and rubbing them all over my body, make it look dirty and erotic at the same time. I encourage everybody having such a good experience and the fun of your life! You're awesome ISM!!!"

"Doing this second shoot for ISM has been more fun than ever. I went to the park to get some nice photos, found a beautiful bridge with lotus flowers around and lots of wild birds. It's always challenging being naked but even more in public with people looking and staring at you while you are trying to concentrate and trying to stay as natural as possible, so I just decided to go with it and pretend they weren't there. Lucky me, I took a body guard with me for protection. It was a beautiful sunny, warm day, so being outside naked felt great. / Hacer esta segunda sesion de fotos para ISM fue mas divertido que nunca. Fui al parque para buscar lograr algunas buenas fotos, encontre un hermoso puente lleno de flores de loto y pajaros silvestres. Siempre es dificil estar al desnudo pero todavia mas hacerlo en lugares publicos con hombres desagradables mirandote y siguiendote mientras estas intentando concentrarte en las fotos y permanecer lo mas natural posible, asi que decidi pretender que no estaban y hacer las fotos de todas formas. Por suerte lleve a mi guardaespaldas personal para proteccion y cuidado adicional. Fue un dia hermoso, caluroso y soleado, asi que estar afuera, desnuda, se sintio espectacular."

"I enjoyed the shoot, I like how bodies look in nature, it suits them. It was fun for me and my partner, I could feel it connected us in a fiery and passionate way. I'm not really sure what else to say, being naked in nature is great and fun except for the FUCKING MOSQUITOES!! Plus all the other creepy crawlies which anyone who has done a nude photo shoot in a forest will understand. Serious sacrifice right there ;)."
