"I wanted the shoot to be outside partly because I am from the UK and being naked outside is a big no, unless you don't mind freezing to death!! (Okay...I exaggerate but you know what I mean). I have always naturally felt a very strong connection with nature and being naked in it gives me a very beautiful grounding effect. Initially I was hoping to find a waterfall but realized pretty quickly that it could lead to innocent hikers stumbling across a naked woman taking photographs of herself so decided my garden would do! There are some photographs that show my body as it is, with a bit of chub here and there, I wanted to capture this because I am proud of who I am and the body I have been blessed with and genuinely really enjoy having that little bit of chub - it means I give really good hugs!"

"I had so much fun shooting myself. I started in my home office, my little happy place surrounded by things I love. I soon moved to a local forest, and was caught in the act twice! Over mossy rocks and under leafy green trees. I truly found the beauty in myself and in my surroundings."

"This shoot was a really fun exploration of my home and how I inhabit that space. The light in the rooms I shot in is very beautiful and cold so it was fun playing with that and shooting in a more challenging environment. I wanted this shoot to show my love for my home and the objects and plants I have filled it with."
Feb 10, 2018 Dorian//"little_nook"
"These are my favourite nooks - the bay window, my writing desk, and the brightest of doorways leading onto the porch. When I'm nude I'm not necessarily thinking about what my body looks like, or even how to make it look better; I think about the shapes I can create, how the light falls and casts shadows on my skin, and how much cooler the air becomes when it reaches the places it barely touches."

"I only found my inspiration for the shoot after I had started taking photos. Thinking I would shoot the whole folio in the bar where I first met most of my friends in Melbourne, I brought a few props and settled in. However about halfway through shooting there I realised that this represented only one half of my life; happy memories of the past. So I gave up the props and took the rest of the shots at home, where my current happiness lives. The difference in my comfort levels was palpable, and I felt like I was able to experiment a little more and get some fun shots. I loved every moment of the shoot because it felt as if I was reconciling two really important aspects of my life and myself."

"I wasn't nervous to do this shoot until I got down to it. Mirrors, cameras and being in the nuddy never came all together for me before! But after a few clicks I got a bit snap happy. I wanted to take some in my garden as being outdoors always makes me happy but I didn't think my 7 housemates would enjoy it as much as me. After I had finished I went to the shop and felt like a weight had been lifted. Like I had a secret no one knew about. This made me bounce around the place like an excited puppy! Thank you ISM for helping me feel more confident and comfortable!"
Feb 07, 2018 Zinta//"glimmergirl"
"So I started off this shoot kind of not knowing what I wanted to do, then I thought - "just be yourself". I love glitter and the outdoors and the sun so I thought I'd try and capture all of that! Trying to get the different angles was a real challenge. Trying to take the photos with my feet was probably one of the most uncoordinated things I've ever done, haha. When I got the hose out and was experimenting it's safe to say it went all over my face at one point, so all I could do was laugh at myself. I was covered in glitter for the whole rest of the week after more than one shower, and every time I went somewhere and caught up with friends I could see glitter on them somewhere, it was hilarious! All in all it was lots of fun and I really enjoyed doing something a bit more out there."

"I was super nervous approaching this shoot as I'm not a huge fan of talking about myself and I'm also a rambler. It made me feel vulnerable and empowered at the same time in a way that forces me to accept and love who I am exactly how I am."
Feb 06, 2018 Maya_T//"visualartist"
"As a painter and photographer I knew I wanted to incorporate visual art on my body. But how? With the help and inspiration of a few amazing friends we experimented with symbols and shapes and colors to create this! Something so much better than I would've imagined. I am so glad there is something like ISM out there! This experience was so empowering and freeing. At first I was a little nervous because I would be seeing my body for what it is, unflattering angles, and contortions and all. Also other people will see it too. With so much propaganda and media it is easy to let that negativity, and unrealistic standards fuck with my head. BUT the more I shot myself the more I started feeling comfortable seeing my body in all its forms. The human body is ART. Every curve, stretch mark, scar, every shape I saw is what makes me, me. I love my body. This whole experience changed me in so many positive ways and I'm so grateful for that."

"This shoot was a real challenge for me. It put me out of my comfort zone and into a position where I had to be both creative and encouraging of myself. I didn't have the opportunity to hate myself in a way I often do because I was doing something that I've always wanted to do. While I did find it difficult to take the range of photos required and struggled with my flexibility a little, I really enjoyed the result. It was really empowering and fun to be in front of the camera for once."

"My favourite thing to do in this world is to love my body and the skin it's in. More humans need to embrace themselves and be carefree! I tend to draw in the most free and adventurous people to share this with, and being part of the nude community has allowed me to meet the most amazing, beautiful people who I will have in my life until the end of my days. I did the shoot at my boyfriend's house while he was away and by telling his housemates I would be naked in the back yard in the mornings opened it up for a great conversation and openess with everything."
Feb 04, 2018 Dani_E//"tela_vuota"
"Credo che si tratti di un progetto molto interessante. Perche' lascia carta bianca a qualsiasi donna di esprimere se stessa. Al di la' dei canoni imposti dai media e dalla societa'. Da modo a ognuna di fotografarsi senza i filtri imposti dai vestiti, scoprendo la propria personalita' e giocando col proprio corpo. Sono dell'idea che qualsiasi corpo possa essere sexy, dipende da come lo si usa. Credo per questo che sia necessaria una buona consapevolezza di se stessi. / I think this is a very interesting project. Because it leaves a blank canvas to any woman to express herself. All of the "canons imposed by the media and the society". So let each one take a picture without the filters set by the clothes, discovering their personality and playing with their own body. I'm of the opinion that any body can be sexy, it depends on how it is used. I believe that a good awareness of oneself is necessary."

"This shoot was way harder than I anticipated but also just as fun! It was an hour or so of me trying to keep the kitty out of the shoot and just feeling my body."
Feb 02, 2018 Rosa_M//"kinbaku"
"I found the project pretty challenging, I'm not a huge selfie-taker and I'm more used to being behind the camera than in front of it, but the challenges were interesting and I think I was really starting to get into the swing of it by the time I was halfway through. I wanted the shoot to feel luxurious, maybe a little bit decadent, and relaxed, because that's pretty much how I feel about my body. The Kinbaku is a pleasure to do on myself, and I thought it would be fun to explore on camera."
