"At the beginning, the thought of taking naked photos of myself was intimidating. I wanted to do it, but I was self-conscious. I'm an exotic dancer so I'm comfortable with showing my body, just not so much with seeing it myself. Throughout the shoot, I became a lot more comfortable with my body. I kept looking at the photos I had taken and loved them, I saw myself in a way I never have before and it was amazing. Big confidence boost!"

"Ik was best zenuwachtig voor de shoot en had niet zo goed geslapen, maar eenmaal ik bezig was was het superleuk. Ik was ontspannen en amuseerde me. Ik wou als thema een beetje een luie zondagochtend uitbeelden, lui in de slaapkamer, liggen een beetje brunchen, lezen, ukulele spelen, in de tuin liggen dingen doen die ik leuk vind als ik een dag vrij heb. / I was quite nervous before the shoot and had not slept so well, but once I was doing it, it was super fun. I was relaxed and amused. I wanted to portray a lazy Sunday morning as a theme, lazy in the bedroom, a bit of brunch, reading, playing ukulele, lying in the garden and doing things that I like when I have a day off."

Looking gorgeous in turquoise and rocking some new blonde and lavender locks, Billie_B returns with a beautiful and languorous outdoor shoot. Romping around the garden like a lil' citrus nymph, this wonderful creature again captures her incredible form and spirit in these images.

"Cheeky real life washing day shoot. Mirror in front of my window overlooking the communal flat's driveway. I was running away every time I heard a car, haha."

"I really liked my appearance today and wanted to share! I felt really beautiful and a bit silly trying new camera angles. It was an amazing experience that lets me get even more in tune with my body!"

"I really enjoyed the contrast between shooting indoors right near the window where I could feel the heat from the sun and then moving to shoot outdoors literally just on the other side of the glass, it totally changed the feel. The sensation of being under the open sky felt so intense. The warmth of the sun and the cool of the breeze, like the world was watching even though I was alone."

Mads is back! This time with a shorter do and make-up that Sir Bowie would have almost definitely rocked at some point. Resplendent in red, Mads delivers a folio that perfectly captures her talent for creating images that are both edgy and soft and altogether ethereal.

"For a long time I've been fairly comfortable taking photos of my body - it's something I've often done in my own time. So I was surprised when I found this project harder than I thought I would! I am quite a perfectionist, so taking so many photos in a constrained environment was a real challenge. But upon reflection I am happy with the way the shoot turned out. I focused a lot on different angles and the different shapes my body could make - it was interesting to experiment in this sense! I do love how I was able to showcase my natural body. I find that with my grown out body hair and the fact that I often wear very little or no makeup that it is very liberating. I have less insecurities, and I do think my confidence in my body comes out in this shoot. I hope that showcasing my body in its natural state reminds people that choosing not to shave is nothing to be ashamed of and can be so empowering! Bodies are beautiful no matter what or how you choose to present yourself and I hope people in the future feel less pressured to conform to society's generalisation of "how" a women or man or any gender in general should look."

"I didn't know what to expect and I couldn't wait to start. I got naked immediately and I took some pics of my whole body. I have never especially liked my body, but I loved those first photos. And my facial expression! I looked so happy and comfortable, I couldn't believe it. I was thinking that the amount of photos I needed to take would have been too many, that I would have gotten bored at some point, but it didn't happen. On the opposite, I had one idea after the other. Also after my first session (I took the photos over 3 days) I found myself thinking of new scenarios, objects to use, ect. It has been a very nice and smooth creative process, and it was so fun! I didn't think that playing with my body in this way could be so fun :)"

"The shoot went a lot better than I thought it would, and I was absolutely terrified at first. Once I started to get into the rhythm of it, I started to really enjoy it. I could not believe how empowered I started to feel, I had been feeling really low over the past few weeks from putting on some weight, and every day I would look in the mirror and feel so insecure and ashamed of my body. But once I looked over the photos and the creative side I started to see the beauty of it, the beauty of myself. The fact that this was in fact my body, my own uniqueness. The beauty that shows that nobody is the same as any other body, which makes this project so empowering."

"Shooting myself for this project was challenging but so much fun! Strangely enough, being the one to photograph myself allowed me to be so much less self conscious about my body and the way I express myself. At first I felt restricted by the hands-on approach, but by the end of it I had so many ideas for future shoots!"

"I did my I shot myself folio on a couch I've thought was cool for a while in a friend's garage. I thought what better opportunity to use it!? It was a little cold but decided to go with a sad theme, a little old fashioned break-up style with the nightie, sad but pretty and ready to move on! I hope it came across as elegant on that lovely old couch, worth braving the cold for. I really enjoyed getting a bit messy with the mascara and had some fun shooting myself. :D"

"I was a little intimidated at first when I started the shoot. I was recovering from a sunburn and I was afraid it would show up in the pictures. About 20 shots in though I stopped even thinking about it. I actually started to feel free and in control of my body for once. It was awesome. Even being naked outside didn't freak me out after a while, although the mosquitoes tried to eat me alive!"

"I was blown away by the awesome comments on my first folio so I asked ISM if I could do another. This time I decided to shoot indoors and feature my body suit, one of my favourite pieces of clothing. I hope you like the pictures because I really enjoy doing this project and I'd like to do more sometime."
