"I chose to be a part of this project because of how much fun I've had with previous ISM shoots. In every one of them I've found liberation, confidence and discovered a little more about myself. I found talking about the things I'm passionate about really easy. I could do a whole video just on one of the topics!"

"Wow what an awesome project! I have never embarked on anything like this before - I've been involved in life drawing (pencil end) and sent the occasional cheeky nude (who hasn't?). It was so liberating! I've never appreciated my body, I only really ever took it for granted or just completely disconnected myself from it entirely. I feel like I am more in touch with my body in a very physical sense and I love it! I have really short limbs so I struggled a bit with getting a whole bunch of pics that incorporated everything, also my neighbour saw me in the backyard I think. It took me a while to smash them all out cos' it was my exam week at uni but I found it so easy once I turned the camera on. Thank you ISM, I can't wait to get more involved in more projects - so so so fun! xo"

"I wanted to experiment with different fun objects in this shoot, things that I enjoy (eg. sweets) and just to see what I could make my body look like with string and rope, highlighting different parts of my body and tracing the lines in which I might be touched or touch myself in. I wanted it to be bold and colourful as well as this reflects my personality so well, I wanted it to be a true reflection of myself. There were so many different things I wanted to experiment with, the aftermath is still so evident all over my floor!"

"I decided to do an indoor shoot this time as I did one outside last time. I think these shoots are a good reminder to women how beautiful every aspect of your body can be. I love looking at other people's shoots and feel a sense of inspiration and confidence in myself to be proud. I was quite confined to my spaces being in a share house but I tried to make the most of my lights and mirriors in my bedroom. Next time I think I would like to go somewhere a little out of my comfort zone, maybe an abandoned house or something!"

"I shot this folio in my bf's bedroom. I burned some oils and he put on some tunes for me - some sultry sassy beats that helped put me in the groove and helped me feel myself, feeling expressive and sexy. He has the front bedroom of the house and I needed the two front windows open for light, so that made things interesting on the voyeurism front! Thank goodness for the tree and hedge for a bit of privacy but I had to dive out of the way of some peering foot traffic at times! But I definitely enjoyed doing this shoot. I had a different idea/theme that I changed at the last minute so I look forward to possibly fine tuning it and doing that next! I love how they've turned out - the colour combo, the textures of the clothes I had around, including my deceased Mum's goat coat she trekked back from Iran in the 60's, so something personal and aligned with her was nice to include. I think she would have loved to do, and see these shots! Gal power!"

"For this shoot, I wanted to create a genuine atmosphere of a lazy morning getting ready for the day with me. Which it was. From shower to my outfit for the day, playing with myself and my form in the mirror. It was super lovely to have rain beating down outside while I was warm and cozy inside playing. Dancing to old favorite songs. I felt happy and really carefree during this shoot, it's so easy and fun to take these photos for me, I always enjoy the time I take to make a folio and find myself appreciating a part of me I hadn't in a while/ever before."

"I really didn't realise what taking so many photos really meant until I took my first 20 and I thought I was done! Four hours later, my room was a complete mess, with objects that ended up in places they had never been before. But amidst the mayhem, a boundless creativity was born and I discovered all the shapes my body could take and all the different ways it could absorb and reflect the light. I found myself playing with the oddest items in the strangest ways and I ended up with a flower up my butt. And none of this felt abnormal haha! By the end of the shoot, although I had struggled to find new ideas all along, my mind was flowing with new ideas of new poses and everything."

"In this folio I wanted to express the more cute and feminine side to me. I often give off an impression that can be a bit in your face. It was nice to change things up and to step back and allow myself to be gentle. I also wanted to express that it is okay to love yourself and to enjoy touching and exploring your own body."

Seemingly unfazed by the wintery chill, Vera_B has gifted us with a short but sweet folio, complete with a very patient pup waiting for their walk. Decked in little more than some knee high socks and a cosy cardi, this daring lass braved the elements for her shoot and for that we are eternally grateful.

"I think about nudity as the natural state of all animals, including the human animal. In this society nudity and the human body is taboo, to get naked is an act of rebellion against those values but also a beautiful expression of freedom. I Shot Myself contributed to generate a better opinion about my body and allowed me to find beauty in parts of it I used to think were ugly. I always dreamed about taking a naked photo session but it was never the time because I thought my body was never fit enough for it. I feel happy that I did it and started to like parts of my body I did not like before. As I was slowly getting rid of my clothes and increasingly expressing my sexuality through it, I started to feel very horny. Every shot made me aware about myself and the connection between my body, my mind and my soul. I couldn't help but masturbate and had a beautiful orgasm thinking about myself. / Pienso en el nudismo como el estado natural de todos los animales, incluido el animal humano. Como en esta sociedad tanto el nudismo como el cuerpo humano son un taboo, desnudarse es un acto de rebelion en contra de esos valores, asi como tambien una hermosa expresion de libertad. Ahora me siento feliz de haberlo hecho y haber comenzado a apreciar partes de mi cuerpo que antes no me gustaban. Durante la sesion de fotos, mientras me desnudaba lentamente y crecientemente expresando mi sexualidad a traves de ella, me comence a sentir super excitada. Cada foto me hacia conciente de mi misma y de la coneccion entre mi cuerpo, mi mente y mi alma. No pude evitar masturbarme y tuve un hermoso orgasmo pensando en mi misma."

"I decided to call my folio Kick n Back because I don't often get a chance to do just that! Life is way too busy! I had so much fun laying around, listening to music, taking photos. At times I think I may have got a little too relaxed! I had been out one day and decided to come home to do some photos, I tried to sneak inside my house so my dog didn't hear me (she's an inside dog). At first I was successful, then she caught me, completely naked at the back door, from then on all she did was cry because she wanted to come in. It was very distracting at first, then I thought I should put her in some pictures! But she's too hairy at the moment, so I thought it best not to (BTW- she's a Cocker Spaniel, so if you have one of these dogs, you know how loud their crying can be!). Whilst I was having the time of my life, I looked out the window (not sure why) and I realised that across the laneway, my neighbour's blinds had suddenly opened! So I think maybe they were trying their best to watch what I was doing! Oh well, they will have to see it online like everyone else!!"

"Being a part of this project was an honor, and I enjoyed every moment of it. ISM has given me the opportunity again to feel fulfilled and beautiful and confident; something that no one can take away from me."

"I shot myself in my hideaway. A makeshift bed, altar, trunk, art, clothes, and shrines. My comfort zone made me fall in love with myself all over again. My space and person has beautifully collided as one. This was my last day with my tail."

"I shot myself in some iconic places around Perth, Western Australia. I took several in the Beeliar Wetlands. A year ago, a highway was to be built through this unique ecosystem. I was arrested, along with about 100 others, in attempts to stop bulldozers destroying the endangered animals and plants. We lost big strips of nature, but saved a lot. Others were taken at the beach. I swim in the ocean every couple of days. Taking these photos, I felt very "myself". If you Google "Fremantle abandoned power station", you'll see spectacular photos of the abandoned power station and the graffiti it's covered in. This was a stone's throw from where I shot myself, but I couldn't capture myself with it due to security cameras and nearby hikers. While I shot myself here, a boat passed me. I stopped and waited for them to pass, but I'm sure they saw me before I noticed. Oops! The rest of my shots provide little glimpses of my personality. The lipstick images represent self love. I always cut my own hair. "Predictably Irrational" by Dan Ariely is one of my favourite books. If you're a nerd who loves human nature and sociology, look it up! And skip to the chapter about arousal ;)"

"Despite the cold weather, I decided to shoot this photo set in the bungalow of my backyard, a cosy space where I keep my winter wood. I love the feel of cool air on my skin, especially fresh winter air because it creates a sensitivity in my skin that makes touch feel so much more intense. The space reminds me of a small cabin in the country that I might escape to with a friend or lover. I truly enjoyed making this set for you mostly because of the high risk I had of getting caught. My bungalow has a window which faces directly onto the open street it sits against, and another that has a direct view into the neighbour's home. As I've told you before, I like the thought of being watched, and the chance of getting caught excites me. I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I did making them for you."
