"This was such an immensely gratifying experience. I knew walking in that I wanted my pictures to have a story, so I took my inspiration from one of my favourite directors, Gaspar Noe's film Love. As an aspiring filmmaker, the lead character saying all he wanted to do was "make films out of blood, sperm and tears" always stuck with me. And these pictures are all expressing that exact idea, and how much of his philosophy I try to embody in my own art and others too. Emotions and sexuality coming together makes one of the purest stories anyone could ever be able to put out there. And this is something I want to keep with me forever."

"Thursday morning, home alone with nowhere to be. A collection of nude photos ranging from artistic to graphic, all based on exploring my body from different perspectives and settings. I really enjoyed taking these pics and at times found myself giggling. Like the time I was taking a upskirt pic of my vagina with my toes. Or the time I had my butt pointing towards the window fully bent over and exposed and a bus went past. I had to have the window open for lighting, and the fear of being caught made the whole thing feel exciting and naughty! I hope the playful nature translates well in the photos. "This shoot was about connecting to nature, and exploring my own authentic movement, inspired by the environment..."

"I felt during the shoot that I was in power, having complete control over my own body and loved that sensation. I felt like I could express my kinky side and explore my femininity. I wanted to show my feminine side and reveal it in a fierce way. I felt connected to all the other women that have done this before me and loved the idea of being part of this group of shameless and empowered women. That is what mostly inspired me. We are all different but we are all beautiful sexual beings and we are free."

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who makes the prettiest puddles of all? Somehow the ISM process has become even more steeped in eroticism for me... I start shooting and I find my hands working their way down my body, this time I decided to deliberately explore orgasm in my folio and as you can see, ended up squirting all over my bathroom floor. Sticky and sweaty I took a dip in an entirely different kind of puddle. What an excellent way to spend half a day!"

"The shoot was interesting for a number of reasons, I learnt a lot about myself. It's easy to avoid your fears, and even easier to hide. When I took these pictures I felt both intimidated and exhilarated, quite confusing emotions to experience at the same time! But now I feel content, I feel proud and I definitely feel empowered. Life is there for those who live it."

"Doing this shoot was really interesting since I could be creative with water and light. I've always loved spending time in water. I love diving, swimming, being in the ocean, going to the pool and anything related. Ahhh, and I take the longest showers ever...oops! This is my special time I allow for myself to feel clean and relaxed. I love the feeling of soap on my skin and making love in the shower is probably my favorite thing ever. Water is so pure and brings me a feeling of renewal. Thank you ISM for encouraging me to do a project like this one again. X"

"I am in the garden, looking and thinking about what I would do and how I want to use the space. I don't realise in this moment I am thinking too much. Smoke a cig, take a breath and do it. By the way, enjoy! I am here with my camera, taking the first picture. I love my shirt and the combination with my lipstick. I show a nipple. I am smiling. I think I like it. Step by step I am becoming naked, playing with myself, trying to take pictures of my best profile but something happening. I feel a limit, something that is blocking me. In this moment I realised I was not free with my body and my mind. I was under control. I was doing the project, worried about what people will think. It's exactly in this moment that the project took form. I was here for me and only for me. I was here to enjoy and have fun. My shape is what I am. It's to remind me how much I love food, how much I love life, how much I am feeling sexy during sex. I was here with my camera, laughing, enjoying, living. I was free."

"For this shoot I decided to wear a lace red dress and take photos of myself slowly undressing. That way I became comfortable with the camera when I was covered and getting naked didn't feel shocking or unnatural. There was a lot of natural light in the room which allowed me to explore a lot of postures and angles while still producing light and clear pictures. It was a lot of fun and I would do it again for sure."

"The thought of doing a selfie shoot terrified me as I never take selfies, I'm not sure why, maybe it's an age thing. But once I started I found myself actually enjoying it, being creative trying to get different angles. It was a little hard with people coming in and out but I worked around that and felt a little sneaky at times, which was fun. I actually surprised myself with a few of the shots, thinking - "Wow, that's not bad at all". I would've liked to be able to do more outside shots, but nosy neighbours I do have. I'm looking forward to now trying all sorts of selfies, who would of thought it!?"

"This portfolio is a bit of a political and social exploration via dating apps. As I recently arrived in a new city not knowing anyone, I used dating apps to meet people and explore the area. Being a self-identified slut I ended up sleeping in a lot of different beds. All of the photos here were taken in different Tinder dates homes the morning after. I loved waking up in the morning and taking shameless naked selfies in their beautiful homes."

"I have a lot of mirrors. So I chose to shoot a lot of my pictures with them. I also have some great chairs, I didn't use all of them in my shoot, but they were a good way to make me feel less bedroom orientated and make me feel more creative and adventurous. I'm quite comfortable with my body, but getting older is pretty confronting as your youth starts to check out. So documenting my body on my own terms at this time was fun and interesting. If this had of been around when I was in my 20's, I would love to have done it and looked back on it now. So all I can say is DO IT NOW! Your future self will thank you for preserving your beauty and creativity so you can freeze this moment in time."

"When my partner and I go camping, I'll often find a beautiful secluded spot in nature and settle into naked yoga while he makes us coffee and enjoys the view(s). Both ISM and naked physical activities I find are fantastic for reminding me to be comfortable with my body and find pleasure in its abilities."

"This shoot felt like a luxurious experience. I had been staying at a backpackers for over a week and was very sick of not having my own space, so participating in ishotmyself seemed like the perfect excuse to get a motel by myself and enter full artist mode. I have been taking photos of myself for almost a decade now, so knew that I would produce some awesome photographs. I purchased some bananas and funky skull bracelets for some physical inspiration and began the shoot the next morning. I applied some glittery makeup I like to think made me look like some kinda sex warrior and began to worship myself with the camera. There was only one window in the motel so I definitely exposed myself to some fortunate passers by but I like to think that improved their day."

"I wanted to create something completely raw and authentic as I have a real thing for self expression and visual arts. I am usually quite the perfectionist but with this shoot I decided to let all of that go and just have fun in the moment. Being in total control of the shoot allowed me to just have fun and I found myself getting really into it. Covered in flower pollen with my lipstick all smudged I felt fully embraced and loved by myself in this moment. I am beyond excited to create further art in the future."
