"I did this shoot at my sister's house. She has a two story townhouse, so I had a few different places to take photos. I couldn't get as many outdoor shoots as I'd like due to the uncomfortable gravel and also it was about to start raining. I felt more at ease this time around, it was lovely being naked for a few hours and taking whatever photos of my body that I felt like. If my sister knew I was walking around naked in her house she would kill me, haha."

"My life post-surgery has been complex, but I feel more grateful than ever for my life, my health, and my body. I am a proud ‘ostomate’ (a person with an ostomy), and this shoot was dreamt up as a way to de-beau the new changes in my body and show the world that nothing can stop me from achieving greatness."

"When I first turned on the camera I wasn't feeling confident with my body. I played around with different angles to capture the best of my body but I was unsatisfied. I remembered what the ISM girls spoke about, such as creativity, and to just enjoy myself. The next morning I woke up and was inspired by a branch of Acacia in my room. Playing with the colours of the flowers and the softness, I worked with the soft shape of my figure. The night prior I had incredible, passionate sex for the first time in a while. Feeling confident and free, I was able to fully immerse myself in this project. I really appreciate the opportunity I've been given. Thank you :)"

"Para esta sesion de fotos, queria preparar algo especial con un color que resaltara mi piel y personalidad, por esta razon escogi el amarillo. Tambien compre unas pinzas pues me gusta como se siente y sabia que me haria sentir mas sexy con el sentimiento de erotica emanando de mi que queria emitir. Decidi hacer la sesion un domingo en la manana ya que es mi dia de descanso y relajacion. Ahora que tengo 30, puedo decir que es el momento en que me he sentido mas comodo y confiada conmigo misma. / For this photo shoot I wanted to prepare something special with a color I really liked and that went well with my skin and personality, this is why I chose yellow. I also bought nipple clamps since I like the feeling and knew it would make me feel sexier with the erotica feeling flowing out of me. I decided to do it on a Sunday morning since that is my relaxing day. Now that I'm 30, I can say this is the time when I've felt the most comfortable with myself."

"I struggled a little bit with the lighting as it was quite a sunny day, but actually I loved the way the leaves created shadows on my body. I tried getting as many angles as possible when filming on my own, but what I loved was having my friend film me whilst planting and playing in the garden. The conversations we were having during filming were really healing, as the topics reminded me why I love plants so much and why being outside is such a special feeling, as it reminds me so much of being little. Next time there's a chance to do a project for ISM, I'm not even going to second guess it as they always fill me with joy and liberate me."

"This shoot was me in my most common form; comfy, cozy, lazy and naked. I love showing what women's bodies actually look like when they're relaxed and comfortable instead of posing and photo shopped. As I took photos, I fell deeper in love with my flesh and the shape it has taken, the folds it creates at its will. This is an outlook that takes practice, a lot of self love and a passionate resistance to conform to unrealistic beauty standards."

"This shoot was done as an exploration of my body within my new town, a new place for me during my five year sojourn abroad in self-imposed exile. Perhaps I am/was looking for a place where I could feel safe as a black person but I've learned that requires the world to change, not my location. And so this shoot embodies a freedom not yet achieved but very much a part of my imagined future."

"Shooting myself for this folio was a fun and delicate session. I loved playing with the possible perspectives while balancing my body upside down, trying not to break anything around me. It feels thrilling to share intimate parts. After all, they are mine but any second human being has the same. Also, I enjoy sharing any part of my body as much as I enjoy seeing others people's bodies as they choose to share it. For me, any part of the body is worth seeing and touching, either by myself or by people who I trust. The skin is the largest organ in the body and any part of it is as valid to be shown as the clothes we put on."

"I had heaps of fun taking a ridiculous amount of nude selfies. I used the mirror up against the wall, on the floor, and up on the bed. I liked taking photos up against the mirror, it made me feel like there were two of me and I was like "who is she?". I had a mandarin in the room, and the colour was so bright that I felt like I had to use it in a few photos."

"This was my second I Shot Myself folio and comparing it to my first experience I would say I felt more confident and self-assured. I tried to incorporate color more with this shoot, putting on red lipstick and my brightest clothing. Red lipstick definitely always makes me feel sexy. I was more relaxed with showing full frontal nudity and definitely had fun with it. My favourite part of the shoot would be experimenting with the mirror and trying out different angles and licking it a bit :P"

"This week I have been gardening a lot in my back yard and so that's where I decided to do the shoot. I believe deeply in the intrinsic bond between humans and earth, and wanted to display this synthesis of nature. I love feeling the dirt between my toes, underneath my fingernails, stuck to my skin... so it was fun to roll around in the soil and leaves and celebrate my connection to Mama Earth. Through harnessing the deep feminine power of Gaia I was encouraged to really feel and embrace my own self and my physical place in it all."

"Shooting this series was really fun. Leading up to the shot I collected pinecones, feathers and giant leaves I found on pavements. It being winter, and me feeling cold, as well as gaining some winter weight I felt a new love for my body and wanted to redefine myself as a winter forest creature. sort of like a forest nymph, something magical and beautiful."

"I've always felt strongly about expressing myself in as many forms as possible. I feel most comfortable when expressing myself in ways that aren't verbal i.e art, music and dancing! This shoot allowed me to explore themes of identity and sexuality. Most importantly though, this shoot made me feel GOOD!!"

"WOW! I am feeling pretty funking awesome after the shoot! At first, despite my excitement (exhibitionist), I took my clothes off and picked up the camera and thought WTF are you doing girl!? I was suddenly panicked by thoughts of insecurity and that I wouldn't get to appear on ISM because the photos would be complete shit. Well, I'm glad I didn't listen to all that B.S nonsense. Let me tell you what an absolutely wonderfully awesome, creative and liberating time I had! I feel different now somehow. "I took the pictures in my favourite spots in my house, the places I spend most of my time and feel most happy. I took my time getting ready and burnt my favourite Sandalwood incense. I put on some WASP and just went with the flow! I kept it light-hearted and just had fun with it."
