"...for this video in particular, my inspiration was a painting hanging in my living room that was totally abstract and I find it really beautiful, so I tried to portray that! I had so much fun dancing around and speaking to the camera that I ended up speaking about deeper things than I intended to, but that's what being naked and feeling empowered does to you! "This shoot happened when I was about to move to a new house, so I decided to take some pics to never forget about my old room. A blue blanket got in the way and wrapped all around me, making me feel safe and comfortable. Being surrounded by reflections, I decided to take advantage of it and try different perspectives, using my body to create unusual shapes and figures. Feet up in the air, embraced by light, this is how I wanna feel: free, floating, in peace."

"Initially I found this shoot to be a bit frustrating because I felt that my body looked shit in all the photos I took. But I put on some music and kind of just went with the flow and started to feel myself, even to the point where I just started feeling myself up! I'm at a stage in my life where I'm beginning to explore myself sexually way less cautiously than before and to actually be comfortable with masturbating and everything that comes along for the ride! I guess this photo shoot is a turning point for me to explore sexuality more, either by myself or with others, and just to know that I have my back and I'm my own support :) Also, it confirmed for me that sex isn't the only dialect of sensuality, and that things like moving sensually to dance or music have as much of an effect to sensuality as sex does!"

"Melbourne weather has been really grey and rainy the past week. There was a hint of sunlight this afternoon so I tried my best to do what I could do. I've been sub-letting my friend's cute room for the past three weeks, she lives in quite a dark house but her room is at the front of the house so she does get nice lighting from the street. The only problem is that there is only a little bush covering the window from the side walk where many people leave from a cafe right next door to her house! I had to try to shoot nude very discreetly whilst doing very confronting body and leg movement and angles, haha it was great fun."

"I wanted to express a connection of spirit and body. I have a wee wooden cobra which I thought would be fun to aid the storyline. The snake of course representing Eve's temptation, the apple, the sex, the nudity... and our (hopefully) eventual release from patriarchal standards and narratives. The ribbon helped me to explore my body in front of the camera, even though I haven't played that much with using restraints during sex it felt really fun and naughty. I had a freaking great time using it to manipulate and highlight parts of my body that I've had trouble accepting in the past. The rose I decided to use right at the end and was just a playful way of showing how I was romancing myself like a gallant prince. I'm my own brave princess and chief romancer, thanks very much."

"I did this shoot at my sweet lil' whare ('house' in Maori) in NZ. It was the beginning of winter and by the end of the shoot I was cold! I had heaps of fun though. Music cranking, house to myself... I'm really happy with some of these shots. I enjoyed, as always. Boobs for days. Lupin the cat joined me for a few shots too. I was surprised she wasn't more involved to be honest, she is usually right up in my shit ALL the time. Maybe she was shy."

"I found myself smiling uncontrollably halfway through the shoot. Being surrounded by flowers I bought at the market earlier, the deep blue satin and the afternoon light made me feel dizzy with content. I got twisted around a lot trying out new angles so I found I needed a good stretch after! I felt soft and enjoyed seeing my body from new angles. This shoot made me feel beautiful."

"It has been four years since my last ISM shoot and it was interesting to see how my body and sexuality has evolved over that time. I had a wonderful time shooting again and my exhibitionist streak is still just as strong! I decided to do a very cheeky shoot at my parent's house on our balcony. It was cold, thrilling and very nostalgic. I did have a few of my neighbours cop an eyeful of my naked curves as well as some people on the street...oops! I loved the adrenaline rush and the feel of wind on my bare skin. The whole experience was awesome and I look forward to doing more naughty photos :)"

"A year or so ago I reached a milestone with the way I viewed my body and found myself working in a strip club to try and celebrate that and express my sexuality. I found during that time that the experience was in no way about me or my journey but about what fulfilling the consumers desires. Instead of feeling empowered I left the job feeling raped of my identity. In mainstream porn I feel like women are merely there to be consumed and used rather than appreciated, celebrated and empowered. Finding out about this project was very exciting for me as I felt as though I could be in control of how I express my sexuality in a space that I feel most comfortable. For the shoot I gathered a few of my favourite items including my guitar, crystals and my plant (Kima). I played an old playlist of mine and allowed myself to roll around and be free with my body and environment. It was actually quite an emotional experience. I felt an overwhelming amount of gratitude to my new found self and to ISM for allowing me the platform to express all of this so naturally. I am very excited about sharing this journey with the world."

"I really enjoyed the whole process of this shoot, expressing myself in places that I am usually found slinking around in... drenched in the greens n purples of my garden... I waited a week for the sun to come out (it's winter now, freezing man!) and was a lil' too goosebumpy to get into it. But if there is one thing that makes me happy when there's no sun it's natives - I had just collected a whole bunch of wattle so grabbed a lil' off my alter and promptly decided for some reason to eat of a bit of it... maybe not the best idea but after this the sun came to greet me and I was able to resource some of my power and feel myself more into the shoot, I'm so glad I get to share the fun of this day!"

"I've recently moved to a new place and it's the first time I've been tasked with making a home. There's no lease. No cheap, temporary furniture. I'm nesting. And this is my most nested room. This is my favorite room. The sun spills in through a giant glass sliding door and I feel so safe and happy. In this shoot, rest assured I'm not only looking my best (ha!) but feeling my best. I hope the warmth of that golden light is palpable; I hope that happiness is palpable. I wanted to keep shooting indefinitely, and I kept feeling challenged to experiment more and push my comfort zone. It was quite a powerful and exhilarating feeling, 100% from within. And while the perfectionist in me could spend at least another week shooting this folio, I'm pretty content with the outcome. There was something new to discover in each shot, like seeing myself for the first time again and again and again."

"Okay this shoot was a lot of fun as I've always wanted to do a nude shoot and I would love to do more. I worked on my own camera which had the disadvantage of being big, heavy and cumbersome. But something fun about it was figuring out how to get the shots I wanted. I took a lot of photos in my mirror as I have a small room and my window looks right out onto the street so I'm sure some people got some good looks (I hope). I would love to do a shoot outside when it's warm."

"It's been a while since I've done an ISM and a lot has changed, both inside and out. Feeling the pressures of age as a woman can often lead you into a negative mind set and I've been very adamant to not let that happen. Lately I've been practicing that little bit of self lovin' and I thought a post shower, wet hair, clean, moisturised bod is often one of my happy places. It's a ritualistic time that I use to mentally cleanse by physically doing so. I wanted to share that totally vulnerable moment. Bare my soul, bare my body and enjoy the fuck out of it. "I shot myself at my home. It was too cold to be outside and I was a bit concerned about what the neighbors might have thought so I decided to take the photos in my room, living room and the space between the kitchen and the door outside. I had a wonderful time and loved having fun in the nude."
