You can't beat nature to light a shoot, as Nat shows in this outstanding folio. The hardest part was deciding which pic stands out and I can't tell why this one wins - it just does.

There's something perverse about Nick Cave giving Charlie's swollen belly a nod. Very effective use of perspective by the artist here, and she's my pick for week 6. Oh and by the way, it's a boy and they're both doing fine.

With respect to the other artiists, this week there is no contest. I hope Kitchen Queen has this portrait on her passport, it's just so good and one of my all time favourites from the ISM submissions.

Well this week has given us the full spectrum of expression, from soft artistic portrait to blunt self-porn. I've always been a sucker for natural light and this time it's Mellis who can strut proudly down her main drag as Project_ISM's star artist. Now how about a few more of you freeloaders loosening your wallets to sponsor the Project and maybe one day soon we'll be able to offer a real prize on top of the kudos which sticks with Head's Pic!

Head's pic for this week is from artist Twinkle - great folio, not sold on the nickname. Twinkle experimented with natural light from various angles and captured an interesting colour cast in this shot. Incidentally Head accepts petition - and cash bribes - from anyone, including the artists, who'd like to nominate their favourite picture from the public folios each week.

At the end of week 2 on Project_ISM we've decided there's too much great work by the ISM Artists to just slip into obscurity. So we've picked the most outstanding contribution of the week and herewith elevate it for your unfettered adoration as Head's Pic.
