ARTISTS STATEMENT

I Shot Myself is something that I've been thinking about doing for the past couple of months, and I finally decided to check it off my list. I've always had respect and appreciation for nude photography, but yet have never done it myself. Maybe I was scared of being judged or what other people might think? I've always been a very shy person so this was a big step for me. And now that it's done, I'm realizing that this is just another form of art. The human body is something beautiful and we shouldn't be so scared to show it off. Each and every one of us is unique and beautiful in our own little way. I think that's what I Shot Myself does. It lets anyone showcase their beauty, no matter what shape, age, or race. Not to mention I also had a lot of fun shooting. :)
