ARTISTS STATEMENT

When I found out about Project_ISM I was definitely intrigued. I saw how much fun the girls were having and I thought to myself, "Yeah! I'll have a bit of that!" And I wasn't let down. I didn't realise just how much better/confident it would make me feel - which is exactly what I wanted! I told a mate about it and he said "Oh, so it's porn?". I said "No, you're in full control of the shots taken and it's all your choice". He replied, "But it's still a porn site that the pics are going on to?". We debated this for a while but is it really Art vs Porn? Porn to lots of people IS art, but do porn stars have as much fun behind the camera as I had? We concluded; "so what if it is pornography? Who cares?!" It's title doesn't change the fact that the contributors and viewers are really enjoying themselves (genuinely!). Some shots may be "tasteful" to you, but to others they may not be. Alot is down to interpretation of course! SO, if Project_ISM is or isn't a specific art form (pornography, modelling, photography etc.) it doesn't matter, because, we also concluded that it's the best *insert desired title here* that we've ever seen!
