ARTISTS STATEMENT

Whilst doing the shoot I was faced with the issue of not having a private space to use. As a result I decided to try a nearby woodland area in a park, which ended up being one of the most liberating experiences I have had. Being naked always feels amazing, but being naked in nature is an incredible feeling that is hard to replicate in any enclosed, built up space. It increased my awareness of how modesty and obsession with body image are cultural constructions and far from natural.
