ARTISTS STATEMENT

It's strange, I really don't feel scared or hesitant sharing myself so intimately. I think there's nothing to be ashamed of in expressing yourself through nudity. Even when the interactions with your photos are out of your control, if they bring happiness, pleasure, or inspiration to someone, then that's a great outcome. I believe that humans have become used to suppression and self regulation through shame. Shame has been drilled into us forever, just look at the story of Adam and Eve. It's a beautiful thing to claim yourself and your body, and through self acceptance, be comfortable sharing that with others. This should not be an abnormal act and we could all be a little happier if we accepted ourselves and our sexual desires, and truly learnt to be comfortable in your own skin. That's all it is at the end of the day. Just the skin you're in.

I like to listen to: I love to listen to sad music. I just love how it makes me feel and keeps me in touch with my emotions. Some favourite bands are Cocteau Twins and Broadcast
I like to watch: I love anything horror. My favourite movie of all time is Ginger Snaps
I like to smell: My favourite smells are petrichor, my partner's neck, and fresh coffee
I like to taste: My favourite food is Ramen, but I love any Asian food. I also have a sweet tooth and love chocolate
I like to feel: I like to feel in love. I like sex and being close to people. I also love the feeling of someone tickling my back

Why i shot myself: I felt the urge to express myself through nudity in order to better get to know myself

who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: My best friend, because I think it would be healing for them
Most outrageous thing I have done: The most outrageous thing I've done is move to Berlin at 18 by myself
Bands I like: My favourite bands as I said are Cocteau Twins, Broadcast, but I also love Nick Drake and lots of early 2000's indie because it's very nostalgic for me
Books I like: I recently read Eros The Bittersweet by Anne Carson which I loved. I also love Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf, and the Outsider by Camus. Ham On Rye is another favourite by Charles Bukowski
Films I like: I'll just list my letterbox top four, which changes a bit, but right now it's: Ginger Snaps, The Vanishing, Ticket of No Return, and An Unusual Summer
