ARTISTS STATEMENT

For me a project like I Shot Myself is a celebration of naturalness, the natural beauty of bodies. The ability to take nude pictures of yourself is very liberating and helps to open up. When someone takes a picture of us we think about how we look in the eyes of the photographer. And in this project, every woman can feel her inner sexuality. Smiling at yourself for the camera makes you sexier. I've posed naked for artists several times before, and also painted nudes myself. Trying with the help of a brush, paints and canvas to reveal the beauty of female natural forms. Thanks to I Shot Myself, I was able to reveal the natural beauty and sexuality not only on canvas. I was able not only to open up, but also to be inspired for new paintings. Perhaps my experience can inspire someone else too.
