ARTISTS STATEMENT

I am interested in exploring eroticism through body confidence, sex positivity and vulnerability. I enjoy consuming nude art that highlights diversity through body positivity and realness instead of adhering to "conventional" beauty standards. I love the body I have, so I focus on what my body can do and what it feels like. As an eating disorder survivor (more than half my life ago) I appreciate my body in it's dynamic living form, changing with age and activities different life phases bring. As a non-binary individual, I choose to only remove body hair for practical reasons. I love decorating my body with tattoos and piercings to please myself. My tattoos stand as a reminder of my values and personal growth. I like the aesthetic of tattoos and take great pleasure in showing them off at queer swingers events. This helps me challenge my feelings of shame surrounding nudity, built during my upbringing. Exhibitionism is has become thrilling! Being drawn to vulva galleries art pieces has helped me find comfort in celebrating vulva diversity. I have erotic queer drawings on my bedroom walls as this is the space I feel most alive in.
