ARTISTS STATEMENT

People are monkeys (well, apes, but let's not nitpick) and would do well to remember that more. People draw this artificial boundary between themselves and their bodies that really doesn't exist. Sex is one of the most primal, embodied experiences that we all share, and I think that that, and nudity, force us to examine ourselves more for what we are - monkeys with really complicated ideas - and hopefully force people to adopt a more naturalistic attitude towards themselves. People aren't magical souls trapped in the filthy world of the material, people are material monkeys whose curiosity gives rise to the wonders of art and science, and by embracing all of those aspects we can enhance each of them to the cost of none of them.

I like to listen to: stuff with really clever lyrics. I am pretty tone deaf but love good rhymes and rhythm.
I like to watch: Hong Kong Kung Fu movies, Werner Herzog, terrible B grade sci-fi and horror, cartoons.
I like to smell: anything :( My allergies are so bad I don't really have a sense of smell.
I like to taste: things I've cooked myself, really nice restaurant food and cheap Chinese takeaway.
I like to feel: desired, impressive and high status. But who doesn't, really?
favourite part of my body: My shoulders. I've got a pair of raven tattoos adorning them and have been focusing on sculpting them Charles Atlas style.
favourite part of someone else's body: Butts! Man do I love butts. Mmmm butts.
Why i shot myself: For a fun adventure!
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: My mom? I dunno, this question seems kind of mean. Which I have no problem with, but only in areas where people deserve it, and I can't think of a reason to shame someone for their body.

Most outrageous thing I have done: Actually pursuing my dreams instead of sitting around waiting for them to be handed to me is pretty outrageous by most people's standards.
Bands I like: Wookiefoot is a really clever Sublime/Grateful Dead style band with great instrumentation that gets across an excellent philosophy through their super well composed concept albums.
Books I like: Man, too many to list. People should read more comic books! Grant Morrison, Kurt Vonnegut, Vernor Vinge, Neal Stephenson.
Films I like: Aguirre: Der Zorn Gottes, Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Iron Monkey.
