ARTISTS STATEMENT

Up until 2 years ago I couldn't stand to look at myself in the mirror and now you have to bribe me with food to get me away from one. I am so glad these changes have occurred. No matter how many times someone tells you that you look good it is hard to accept sometimes. I love being naked and showing off and that's why I was so interested in doing I Shot Myself. It's very empowering and having to hold the camera and not being able to use a self timer forced me to get creative and I found myself connecting more than I do with my everyday selflies (trust me, there is a lot of them). I take a lot of photos of myself as I want to be able to look back at photos like this and be proud that I did something like this and that I felt so good about myself doing it. I never want to be one of those people who regret not doing what they wanted in life because of the fear others would find out and judge them. If that means pushing my limits, then I do it. Plus, this campaign is a great way to celebrate the female form and has beautiful ladies of all shapes and sizes.

Why i shot myself: I shot myself to feel empowered and to celebrate the female form.
