"I recently bought my first apartment so for me this is just as much about getting to know the space and enjoying it! The big windows are my favourite - I had a day off today and the weather was beautiful, so it made sense to bathe in all that sunlight. This sounds like something out of a movie, but no word of a lie I was a quarter of the way through the shoot when I was interrupted by a repairman who'd come to fix my broken washing machine (they inconveniently always give you a large window, not an exact time, of when they're arriving). Needless to say I may or may not have continued the shoot briefly for a bit in another room, but I guess I can be pretty cheeky like that."

"I have recently become more aware that I am a woman, a desirable woman worthy of love and affection. I wanted to share my photos and, at the same time, my energy. I've already taken photos for this project and it's interesting that 4 years later (even though I'm getting old, haha) I feel more sexy and liberated, with age, my understanding and love for my body grows."

"Having moved houses in between completing the shoot, I got shots in a mansion bedroom as well as a city share room. The differences were quite extravagant and found when I was in the share room it was a lot easier to finish the folio! It was a humbling experience which boosted confidence and made being creative more fun and enjoyable. I found when I was in the mansion, I was hesitant to push my boundaries and stayed in my little bubble, my comfy zone. The biggest lesson I learnt was hard times make strong men, strong men make good times."

"This folio was shot in my home on an uneventful Wednesday afternoon, after I'd spent my day doing my best impression of a corporate drone. It was a challenge shooting outside my usual style, with barely any makeup and of course no artificial lighting. The challenge was fun! I enjoyed figuring out which angles worked best for window light with the curves of my body, and finding out that my piercings shine so much in daylight photography was delightful. The closest this shoot came to disaster was when I chipped the edge of my mirror in my backyard and let out a yelp that could've invited a neighbour to look over the fence. But I made it back inside and have lived to upload the first baby steps of my journey into photographing myself in a natural, unedited way."

"I shot this folio on the first day of my trip to the sunny city of Sochi with my boyfriend. I tried to make the photos bright and diverse, and approached this as creatively as possible. I decided to try to play with different images to add a little playfulness to the photos. I also didn't miss the opportunity to take a photo with flowers, because everyone misses this so much in the fall. While I was taking pictures, I was sure that these photos would find their viewers who like natural beauty!"

"I originally planned to do my shoot in my front yard, near my orange tree and some other lovely blooming things, but my neighbours very rudely decided to move into their new place directly across the road from me. It was also bin day, and I didn't fancy having people in quite that close of proximity to me, so with this, I moved things inside and in the backyard. It's been a little while since I last did a shoot, I felt a bit rusty to start with, but as I got going I really enjoyed myself, so much so that I had a sneaky little wank in the middle of shooting ;). My dog really wasn't happy that he wasn't invited to the shoot, which was an oversight on my part, but I'm sure he'd understand if he knew it was for a worthy cause. It's been a bit of a rough start to the year, so taking part in another shoot, and seeing the results really boosted my mood. I'm turning 40 this year, so it's quite surreal seeing my progress here throughout the years. Who knows, maybe I'll do one again when I'm 50."

"I tried to make a cosy corner with my improvised 'shoe rack', which is also a small bench. But then I got a burst of creativity and used my guitar as a mirror! It reflects very softly, so I thought that would be a great addition to my photoset! I love taking naked selfies for ISM and I hope you enjoy them too."

"I was shooting in my backyard. At first it felt unnatural and uncomfortable, but as I played around with the camera a bit more, it started getting really fun and felt more relieving. There was something so therapeutic about being naked out in my backyard. It started raining halfway through the shoot, so I had to grab everything and hurry inside. I continued my shoot inside on the couch which gave me a bit more of variety. I feel a lot more comfortable with my body after this shoot. I've struggled a lot with my body my entire life and have always hated it. Doing this shoot made me feel so beautiful and even admire my own body. I hope my pictures will make you feel more comfortable in your own skin like they did for me."

"I like to be photographed naked, it excites me. Doing it myself excites me even more. The first thing I did when I woke up was to take pictures of myself naked. I took all my photos for this wonderful website at home. When I caressed my tender clitoris during filming, I accidentally came. I want you to look at this and enjoy me in your fantasies and not stop thinking about me."

"I shot these pics in my apartment, in middle of winter. I thought about how to do everything in time before it got dark outside and the lights were turned off. Very unexpectedly, the lights were turned off half an hour earlier, so I had to postpone everything for another day. After the shooting, I felt that I wanted to crawl under a warm blanket as soon as possible and watch the movie that I started watching yesterday (it was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). It felt strange at times, because I am not used to taking photos in this manner and without editing. It was also strange not to use sexy lingerie and heels etc. It was quite an interesting experience for me."

"It's been a while but I'm back! I was really nervous to start taking these shots again but the more pics I took the better I felt. It's like my self confidence was being built back up brick by brick every time the shutter went off. I am still getting used to a new apartment but I guess full nude shots against the window is one way to say hello to the neighbours. I think I may have given the cleaners a bit of a fright. Either that or a good show, fingers crossed for the latter. At the end I already had all the shots I think I needed but while I was doing dishes a banger of a song came on and, you know how it is, I had to dance. Snapped a few shots while I was rocking out in the kitchen only to find out I had left the door open the whole time so the window behind me had a very good view."

"I really enjoyed shooting my ISM folio in my studio apartment. I just moved in and love the lighting from the big windows here. I was thinking about how much I love expressing myself through my body, while shooting this. I felt empowered both during and after. Listening to music always gets me in a creative mood, so I was listening to my favorite 2 genres; Hip Hop and R&B while shooting this set. It had been pretty clouded with Summer approaching and I'm so glad that today the weather played nice."

"It was a fascinating journey into the world of exploring my body. I shot in the morning, but not too early. I was rested and content. My apartment, which I moved into recently, may seem messy or even empty at this point, but for now my nest looks like this. I really enjoyed taking photos on the balcony, the lighting was best there. But I had to hide from the neighbors who live across the street. It was even a little exciting to be caught. But everything went smoothly. After completing the shoot, I felt a bit puzzled. I was able to look at myself from unexpected angles. And the picture of my body in my mind is going to change a little bit, I think. So far, I can't say that I fully accept what my body looks like. I have a lot of mental work to do."

"I really like the concept of this project. Being both behind and in front of the camera was a really interesting experience. Because this project celebrates real bodies I felt comfortable and honestly relieved to have my imperfections visible such as my eczema and throughout the process of photographing myself I grew more comfortable with these insecurities. I chose to shoot in my room, I was very comfortable in this space and throughout the shoot I let myself exist simultaneously to the photographing. My cats interrupted my space at one point while I was shooting but I chose to let them stay. They are very cute!"

"I did this shoot in my own room and own bed. I felt a bit lonely and I needed something to make myself happier. So I shoot and I start to think I love my body. I love flirting. Love the way I look. That thought was in my head while I taking pictures. The way the sun was playing in my room gave me the ability to look at my private parts with a different angle. I wore a pretty dress and underwear and played with my camera. Slowly undressing I thought - "Wow, that woman is hot!". My room was a bit messy and the sheets with a different colour. My window overlooks another building. I was curious if anyone was watching me. I bet they get a good show. I'm jealous of them. Thank you ISM for this opportunity."
