ARTISTS STATEMENT

Écrire cette pièce en français a probablement été la chose la plus difficile à laquelle j'ai dû faire face lors de la réalisation de ce projet. La France a eu beaucoup de penseurs tout au long de la seconde fin du XXe siècle, elle reste une société truffée de constructions sociales et esthétiques. Ce n'est qu'après avoir déménagé à l'étranger, il y a une dizaine d'années, que j'ai commencé à avoir plus confiance en mon corps et à devenir globalement moins timide et égocentrique. C'est pourquoi ce paragraphe précédent sera le dernier écrit dans ma langue maternelle. / Writing this piece in French probably was the most difficult thing I've faced upon completing this project. France has had its great deal of thinkers throughout the second end of the 20th century, it remains a society riddled with social and aesthetic constructs. It's only after I first moved overseas about a decade ago, that I started becoming more confident in my own body and became less shy and self-centered overall. That is why this earlier paragraph will be the last one written in my mother tongue.
