trevor says... Dear Jaki, your artist's statement is as lovely and thoughtful as your photographs. You certainly give of yourself and your appreciation of the environment and diverse and local cultures is admirable. That you wish to help protect and nourish makes you most remarkable. I live in Italy where a store called Eatily, a food emporium, is working hard to protect Italian foods by offering the best locally produced products and by offering wonderful classes to educate both children and adults. BUT they play almost exclusively American highly commercialised pop music. My suggestions that they play traditional music from the various regions of Italy falls on deaf ears. I've also suggested they support musicians by having them give in-store performances and sell their recordings. Jaki, I wish you much success in all your endeavors--including motherhood.
